Silver lining....TS has the easiest and most efficient return process I have found from any vendor on the web. Last week. I made my first purchase from them in god knows how long and I immediately returned it, but at least the process was ridiculously easy. Yeah, they're nice people making dumb decisions.

Leather or Dainite sole? I have some leather soles that always squeak but my Dainites have all shut up after a few wears.

I picked up a pair of plain toe Bluchers. Will give my thoughts on them when I have some wear in them Did you get the Massdrop ones? That was a good deal.

Are you a lawyer? One pocket is misaligned. If they'd made the one with a flap shorter, it could be aligned with the bigger pocket without a flap. Or they could have gone the Momotaro route and made them clearly two different sizes.
Regardless, I like the shirt, but hate the company. So I may just get the Epaulet copy and sell all my TS stuff out of spite. Towelie is the only one that would be fairly hard to replace like for like.

Yeah, they did it right to match the pattern. But I’ve got plenty of shirts that match the pattern and align the pockets, it just takes better qc. Ironically I bet their MiC shirts are spot on. It is Not a quality control problem with this shirts pockets. It was designed this way, they All are made with the pocket flap higher. The pockets are alined. Take the pocket flap off and all will aline. Look at the bottom. It's definitely not aligned. I know TS likes dumb pockets, but this is still unaligned. My earlier Moto is actually perfectly aligned across the bottom, and as you said, the one with a pocket flap is higher.

My three year old Moto and current one both fit the same as my older Jacks and Glaciers. However a recent Jack is much looser than any of those other shirts. So if you have a recent Jack, then there's a good chance that the Moto will be smaller than that.
My pockets are a solid inch off vertically, I think there's a pic a few pages back. For the money, it's almost excusable. If it had been more expensive I'd have returned it.
But F a big bag of TS and their current all Chinese runs. I'd recommend you give your money to someone running a good business, not these hacks.

I admit that it actually looks good and the materials (as usual) are killer. It just goes against all logic. Like a hat with another hat over it.
Perhaps the easier approach is would it look better without it?

The new Linen denim looks cool. Nice twist for summer wear. Not sure on the sheen. wee bit pricey for me Other thing, my lightweight Gustins drape horribly. I'm wearing 18oz coal/black today, one of my favorite pairs ever. I don't think that's a Gustin exclusive. Seems like anything under 14oz drapes similarly. Both my 11oz and 12.5oz look different than anything 14oz or heavier.

It's 95 here today. It's flip flop season. But I'm trying to look less like a surfer bum and wearing Vans more. Shit, that doesn't really change things, does it?

Now that it's warming up what are some good no show socks thar are durable and comfortable? I know smart wool has some but I'm iffy on their quality, and darn tough just came out with some that I'm going to try out. Your feet make awesome no show socks. Plus they'll make your footwear smell horrific and you'll get fun wounds to th back of your heel. I'm currently wearing a bandaid for such an injury. But no show socks are like near beer to me, a category I'm going to remain ignorant about.

Those aren't terrible. Is there a way to filter out a brand, cough, Viberg, cough, from an Instagram feed? Asking for a friend.

Aren't the N&F Duck selvedge? They're a more traditional five pocket than the slant front pockets of the RC, plus I think they're about the same price. I love the RC though, something really cool about the flat felled inseam and outseam, even if I dislike flat felling on jeans. There we go.

Not trying to derail things, just curious if the N&F Beige Chinos are a little too light? Their duck offering is a better color, and pretty similar to my answer for this category, the Railcar Flight Trousers.

All of the anniversary ones seem to be straight cuts or at least very slightly tapered. Easy pass.

546 is the same as 517? I wasn't aware. I'll look in to whats available in a 546. Prime example of their confusing fits right there, two different ID numbers for the same cut. It's a mess. Not sure why they do different numbers for different weights. Samurai seems to stick to the same numbers but changes the fit for each weight. Both drive me crazy.

Ok more to the point, ickes and/or@disheveled any thoughts that would add a relevant vein of luminosity to the thread. I don't own any Samurais. Oni's are cool....only owned one cut and fabric which was the 517xxBE. Very nice fit and cool fabric. I don't think they even make that cut anymore. The one thing that annoys me about Oni is that I swear it seems like they make a new cut every time they do a new production run of any fabric. I got bogged down trying to figure out all of the cuts and numbers and blah....I might be blowing it out of proportion but I know I've tried to find the 517 cut again and haven't had much luck and I can just remember seeing what felt like 10 different fit options. I would buy another pair. Construction is nowhere near IH level but it's good enough. Fabrics have all kinds of character and fade nice. I'm not crazy about the arcs on the back pockets but it's doable. Oni sucks at making their fits make sense. 546 is the same thing as 517, but it gets weird from there. I don't mind the arcuates, but do have one pair from BiG without them. I gather Denimio can deliver them either way. You might add Tanuki to your list, jDub. They're on Blue Owl and Godspeed if you want to double check Deninio's measurements. You guys do seem to prefer sanforized though, so moving on...

It was nice when BiG carried Sammy. Now it's a bit of a shit show finding good measurements. They still carry some of the Oni fits, but not nearly all. I'd say in general terms for fit:
BiG > Tate & Yoko > OD > Denimio > RB/Rakuten
However I've had all of those options measure individual pairs before, so if you find a fit that seems like it will work, you can find specific details relatively easily.
You can also dial things in pretty well with all Oni and Sammy (and PBJ for that matter) being unsanforized.
