I received my second custom vest from Indigogene and thought I would follow up some of the details I outlined earlier in this thread with some photos. The vests are a very specific vintage USN inspired design but show what Manny can do on customs. The details are what make these so special to me. Vest #1 Black / Black Candiani Vintage navy blanket with vintage USN stamp centered on the inside Vintage peacoat buttons Blanket lined handwarmer pockets with selvedge ID in the pocket iphone 6 pocket with selvedge ID on inner right hand side zipper pocket on inner left side back cinch Vest #2 Same USN design 12.5 oz brown weft denim lightwieght camo lining selvedge locker loop

Awesome. I touched / saw the Iron Heart waffle dobby shirt at SE in February and the material looked very similar... Of course there are lots of things besides fabric that make an Iron Heart shirt so damn special.

exophobeJust a reminder of what I am sure has been previously discussed... I have one of the indigo waffle dobbys from late 2014 and this material shrunk more after a warm wash than any other Gustin shirt I have. Length and sleeves especially. Awesome shirt for sure.

cianofarmer If you were to offer wabash, would it be the jacquard weave wabash you currently have on your site? Thanks!

highlights Ouch on the US to AUS conversion! Agreed on the goal to slowly add more MF gear over time. That's my goal as well. Fewer smaller purchases to save up for a couple big ones... Now I just have to stop the smaller purchases! I think it was mentioned previously in this thread but the garrison shirt does have a large upper sleeve design. It was one of those details that didn't stand out to me when I was trying on the shirt at the MF store but became more pronounced as the material softened and draped more naturally with wear. This may not be a big deal for most but I don't have large upper arms / biceps, I wear skinnier pants and like the slim look so I didn't like the look of the big upper sleeves on me. I ended up taking the shirt to a tailor to have the arms slimmed. Because of the intricate placket design on the shirt, slimming the sleeves wasn't simple and was even decently expensive. I did it anyway since this is my favorite shirt. It is perfect now but it was expensive to begin with and now I have spent far more on it than I would have ever imagined spending on a shirt a year ago! Ha! I have the midnight twill version but the olive is equally amazing... Maybe more so as it is so unique. I just wanted a shirt to work on some fades over the winter.

highlights - I tried on the Appaloosa shirt at the MF shop here in LA. Absolutely amazing. There is something about the MF materials that have to felt to be appreciated. Fits very much like a Japanese brand shirt (shorter length and sleeves) than compared to Gustin workshirts for example. I ended up getting the Garrison shirt as there were only a few left but I have promised myself the Appaloosa shirt is my next indigo denim shirt. @untucked FourHorsemenYes! So jealous... These are on my dream list I did pick up a caban peacoat in December that I absolutely love as well

Cool video. Great to be able to put a face to name. I've had a few items made by Manny / Indigogene now and they have all been just awesome. Any issues were cheerfully addressed. No attitude. Manny is very responsive to design ideas and input but also has let me know if he thinks something doesn't look good or might look better done differently than I requested. The custom items he has made for us are: - Men's custom military pants in the 12.6oz Japanese Dova - I know this pants style isn't for everyone but the details, fit and construction are great. Even the chambray lining of the rear pockets is selvedge and has an exposed selvedge edge when you lift up the pocket flap. Pics of this below - Two pairs of women's custom jeans - Take care of your lady and she is lot more understanding about the piles of jeans laying around... - Two custom mariners vests - these are so great but very specific to a Mister Freedom vibe. Details include camo lining on one and a vintage USN blanket lining on the other as well as D front pockets and vintage anchor pea-coat buttons - Custom women's and men's military pants in Black/Black Candiani- these pants are great with tonal stitching and work kinda like chinos. No, we don't we don't wear them at the same time! We have really like everything we have received so far. I can only say good things.

I received my olive heavyweight Henley this week and the fit is spot on to the Gustin fit chart and exactly what I was hoping. Anyone else with the olive Henley?
This gives me hope and I have backed the black waffle Henley funding now.
I have measured the original black Henley (should have done this as soon as I got it, my fault) and it is about 1.5 inches wider than the spec charts says it should be. Again, hoping it's just this batch.

Yes, a size small. Wish I had measured it before iI washed it... I have an olive henley in production I can measure at some point but you know how sizing can vary with batches.
I think I like my shirts snug more than I am skinny!
I was expecting it to be more snug based on the product description which says a henley should have a close fit etc.
It feels a little blousy as well. I wore it under a leather jacket and it was sticking out the bottom of the jacket and bunching up like a skirt.
I imagine this fit will be great for everyone looking for a relaxed fit. I was just expecting the fit to be more in line with the tees I guess.

I received my size small black heavyweight henley and was able to wash, dry and wear it. It seems to run big and is baggier and boxier than my Gustin size small tees. I am really hoping it shrinks with subsequent washes. It fits most like this fit pic from the Gustin site:

Dirty_Denim Ha! Great news. I picked that denim specifically because you mentioned somewhere in this forum that it was "crunchy". Thanks for the insight!

Dirty_Denim Damn! Great fades on those for only 4 months... I love the military vibe so both my wife and I have a pair of the military pants in Candiani Black/Black. Great chino alternative. I also have a pair of military pants currently being made from the Japanese Dova denim. Very excited. Hope they fade as fast as Dirty's. Manny is also making some custom USN inspired denim vests (shawl collar, D pockets, pea coat buttons, camo and vintage USN blanket liner etc) that should be done in a week or so. Seriously can't wait for those. Manny had posted some pics of one on insta but we are making some changes to them still.

Just a quick note to say the clothing I've bought from Manny has been worth every penny and then some.
I've ordered several custom and non-custom pieces (both men's and women's military pants, a pair of jeans and a woman's black Friday sale shirt) and they have all been amazing. Perfect fit, great quality and attention to detail. He even made a personalized branded patch for my wife's bag.
Manny has always been communicative and patient. It's tough to make custom clothes as there are lots of options and he has been very understanding of last minute changes.
He is working on more items right now that are going to be amazing as well. Maritime vests, military pants, woman's jeans...
All I've been buying is Indigogene and Mister Freedom. These two brands cover almost all my needs!!
Let me know if anyone wants any pics or details...

david2403 - I have a couple of the Barns loopwheel tees. The plain v-neck pocket tees to be exact. Like these:http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/vari/item/brn-ts-br-1001/ I love them. Great value for a thicker loopwheel tee even with the shipping from Japan. Especially if you want v-neck and a pocket. Construction is great. Fabric is soft and thick. The fit is very slim. I wear a size small in Gustin tees and a size large in Barns loopwheel tee. Both of the shirts I have shrank most in length (at least an inch) after a couple washes and dryer dries.
