Back on the work shirt topic for a minute, latest from Ren is (& there's nothing sensitive here so I'm sure they won't mind me sharing this with you):
"Thanks for the comments. I've passed them onto our production team. We would love to produce more workshirts, but they literally don't fund very well. Some styles will only sell 9 units over the course of a week and that's no where close where we need to be to go to production. The requests for workshirts are always there, but when we go to fund them, it seems that the enthusiasm isn't there. As a company that produces only the things that people actual order, we're limited to what our customers are interested in. Perhaps the different colors will do the trick."
I do feel a bit guilty now that I didn't order any of the WS that dropped so far this season, though I've got more than enough plain indigo work shirts already. Fingers crossed that some new fabric WS' show up soon!

It didn't help that they re-ran a lot of fabrics from last year.
It would be nice to just not get a button down collar on these flannels and other fabrics.

Yeah I'm kinda at that point. 633's replacing my Zimbs as my daily pair. 21oz is warm for me so fall is the first time I really have worn them. Just donated some BR chinos. Man they got washing machine fade/marks horrible. How many washes did you have into your BRs? I've got a pair, and wash them inside out/hang dry, without consequence, but don't wash them unless they need it. Like 10 maybe. Banana Republic not Buzz Rickson's.

This is probably the infamous lack of tact that Gustin customer service tends to display, but them not releasing something that customers are interested in is not the fault of the customers, regardless of their model. Buttons that match the fabric and styling a shirt to match the fabric are a couple basic tenets of garment design, and thus should be common sense (and if not, learned behavior) for someone designing garments. Literally everyone else that makes shirts does this, except the places that let the customer change those options. Anyway, I know I'm not part of the solution, so I'm shutting up about this.

Interesting, I'd seen this in the stock store, prior. It is now on the store page, one day after funding for the TS Cone Indigo Selvedge Utility closed.

Does anyone have the #17 food tray workshirt? I received mine some months ago, only worn it sporadically, unfortunately almost every other time I wore it, I found that a button hole had failed, for a total of 3 button holes that I had to have repaired. Something must have been wrong with the button hole machine, because I found someone else on another forum with the same issue on the same shirt!
Gustin reimbursed me for 1 of the holes, and credited me for the other 2. They did offer to refund me for the shirt, but I really like the shirt so decided to keep it and just have it fixed.
Anyone else have the shirt? Same or different experience? Would love to see some fades! Haven't had enough wear on mine yet, but now all the button holes seem to be in order..

Fabrics are usually awesome, making it easy to decide to keep and have the buttons redone reinforced, as it is an easy fix.

That's unfortunate that it's a running problem.
The fabric is awesome though, I can see this shirt really having some great fade potential.

Buttons falling off has been a somewhat often reported issue (both button down and work shirt, somehow), I don't recall the button-holes coming unstitched being commonly reported.

Gustin Wool/Denim WorkShirt, Do you have one? What do you think of it? It's 35 degrees this morning and thought to myself that's what I should have on.

Anyone know if Gustin is going to do anymore work shirts soon? Not sure. I've heard or read somewhere that they said the WS weren't good sellers. Does it hat mean they're done ..... ?

Yep they told me they didn't sell well but they did have more planned, so I'm at a loss for why they haven't dropped anything new for months? A huge shame as they had found some really unique fabric previously.

Anyone know if Gustin is going to do anymore work shirts soon? They all seem to fund but apparently not fast enough to be considered a success, or something. If last year is any indication, though, they'll have more campaigns around the beginning of the year into February.

The crosshatch jacquard and khaki stripe are in sewing now, I'm hoping for an early January delivery with the holidays. they did offer a couple others before those, but I'm guessing it's a scheduling issue with the shop, as opposed to them giving up on the design, which has been hypothesized here. They could also be waiting on new samples as part of their production run for a 2016 update to the work shirt, though this is a pretty pie-in-the-sky theory.

Add 1 flap, smaller collar, better buttons, done.
