I got a tracking number just now, order 3974, candiani raven straight fit, 34x34. Thought it was interesting that all the "shipped" orders were ixi. I'd bet there's some sort of batching system based on what has the most orders.

This has been the failing point of lawless over and over and over again, ever since the kickstarter launched.

Well, I certainly have no insight on what's going on at LD. Just can't help but try and see a pattern in the chaos. In other news, my order has made it to the post office and is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. So for me, it will have been 15 days from order to delivery.

Just got my Cone IxI's in from my RTW order. This is the second pair of jeans I've got from Lawless. I really wish I could get my sizing right. These are too small for me again. I just put them up in the For Sale section if anyone is interested. Here's some pictures imgur.com/a/UeaNv

My I x I also came in today. Haven't had time to try them on or do any detailed inspection but they have good construction but not spectacular.
The fabric is good but nowhere near say the recent #166 from gustin. My concern is the front rise came in a full half inch shorter and the length about three quarters of an inch shorter. I'll have more details in the next day or so but the rise may be a deal breaker as I prefer a long rise for my older body.
I will say the patch is pretty cool. At the price point one should not complain....

So, I have a confession to make. I have a green denim collecting ... issue, and I couldn't pass on the green ready to wear since I haven't seen that fabric elsewhere (cue links of 100 places using that denim that don't hate their customer). So I placed an order, justified it by the comment I made here about mitigating risk -- at least getting something since they seem intent on going the way of the dodo before they complete custom orders. So anyway, this may justify some of the anger in my posts over the last two weeks as I've had to continually hassle Lawless Denim (even getting banned from their instagram after waiting a week on "24-48 hours" without an update) to get any movement on the stupid order. So, a week after the USPS label was printed, they finally gave it to the mail-man (who apparently picks stuff up from them, so it's not even that weird early-Gustin "we have to load up all the parcels into our custom duffel bags and lug them to the post office" thing), and they're scheduled for delivery on Monday.
Anyway, despite better judgment, I made a decision to order the ready to wear, and though it took far more effort than any paying customer should ever have to expend, I finally have the green and a pair of cone 16.5 on the way. Now to figure out what fits I ended up with, since that seems to be a crap-shoot since their system wasn't taking it into account. As long as it's not slim taper I'll probably be okay. So don't judge me! It was all for SCIENCE!

2nd order of RTW. 11oz cone mills IxI , 13.5 candiani. Everything was right on target for slim straight. I ordered slim taper but got lucky that these don't taper to 7 in hem. Wife is out of town so fit photos will have to wait but love them. $35 easily worth it. It took 12 days from order date to arrival.

Nine days of that spent after they generated a shipping label. Only explanation given is that the web guys didn't put accurate information on the website, claiming that two weeks to ship is SOP.

Post on Facebook 30 mins ago says that they aren't doing any more RTW until LA is up and running and cranking out custom back orders over the next 30-45 days.

LA is not ready yet but when they are, they will be producing the RTW stuff. We're down to our last final pairs of this uniquely soft and inky 14 oz. Indigo Selvedge denim ($35) and will not be releasing any more RTW until our LA factory is up to speed and cranking out our custom back orders over the next 30-45 days. If you're waiting on your custom order and no longer wish to, please contact us and we will refund you or give you a store credit towards our next ready-to-wear collection hmm, did I misread? lol sorry i've been writing papers all day

Ummm, I may have learned to read in a Louisiana public school, but doesn't that post say that LA will be cranking out the back log of custom orders?

I am amused that they are encouraging people to take a store credit for back logged custom work. It keeps them from having to give a refund and it reduces the amount of custom work they have to do.

It's hard to tell if they will be getting the factory running in the next 30-45 days, then producing orders, or if they plan on getting the factory running and fulfilling backlog orders in the next 30-45 days. Honestly, I expect that most production is halted and they're focusing on getting the 2nd factory running, which will take a mythical 30-45 days (I'm pretty sure that they advertised the same timeframe back in January). The conspiracy theorist in me suspects that they have another Huckleberry-like deal on hand and are shuttering production to fulfill that. The "waiting for LA" line is just a smokescreen. Of course, that's a conspiracy theory, but it has happened at least once in the past, so...

So they had a 14 oz indigo denim RTW which is gone and has been replaced by a 14 oz "slub" indigo denim. Is this the same fabric? Wondering if it's the same fabric later edited to add the slub designation, or if it's something different. No actual fabric pics were listed for either, just an old stock pic of the guy wearing jeans.
The reason I ask is because they "ran out" of their Candiani Raven on my order and called me to ask if I wanted to substitute something else. I chose the 14 oz slub assuming it was different than the other 14 oz indigo which I already had a pair of on the same order. Later, I was looking at the listing on their site and I thought "wait a minute, is this the same fabric??". I called back but of course they didn't pick up the phone

I got my pair in the Raven today, only had a brief moment to check them out and threw them on for a sec. At first blush, damn fine for the bucks. Glad I ordered the straight fit, they fit me pretty close throughout. I'll check them against the size chart when I get a chance. The denim is nice, soft feel, color looks slightly bluish to me, but I'll need a good look in better light.

From the website pictures the Raven looks like Gustin Black 2 fabric. Look black with lots of white weft. I had a shirt made with LD black 14oz fabric that was sent back. Made wrong style. The fabric was exactly like my Black 2s. Now I am curious as to what it looks like. Maybe the LD pics are not accurate. .

It's very dark, like Black. here's my Raven denim I'm looking to sell. Check the For Sale thread for the details.
