I never thought of a Car Coat in Wabash, but I would buy that if Ciano goes for it.

I got these Wabash jeans from Ciano today and first impressions are favourable. They're a solid dark indigo/indigo and the workmanship looks first rate, and everything seems to be to spec. This is them straight out of the box.

DigDug, sadly my wife has banned me from wearing these in public, as I only have check shirts with me on vacation and she says I need to wear plain shirts with these. I have been wearing them in the closet, so to speak, as they're pretty stiff and substantial and need to get broken in a bit. They seem more solid than other similar weight jeans I have for some reason. I do like them and will put up fit pics with suitable shirting probably the weekend after this one.

This pair is screaming for a pair of suspenders/braces. She will stare at those, and forget about what shirt your wearing.

Ok, I was allowed to wear these in public with a plain fleece. Please excuse the footwear. Anyway, no funny looks from the good folks of Jackson, WY and I've got to say that I like these a lot. They're different, they're a tough material and they'll only look better the harder I treat them. Ciano should use this stuff on a vest and a jacket, as it's a killer denim. It would be good to see others' fit pics too and hear their views about this Wabash.

It would be good to see others' fit pics too and hear their views about this Wabash. During a conversation with Ciano a while back, he told me he wanted to do an IH style vest with this wabash. I get the feeling that with an increasing backlog, they are hesitant to bring too many new items into the fold. I would love to see him score some Cramerton Twill, and offer that in chinos. From what I can tell, this fabric is still to be had, as Duck Head, Bills Khakis, and Dickies still offer it. It has been around since before WW1, and was used in US Military Uniforms from WW1, through Vietnam.

That would be awesome. I just wish he'd make this in a Western shirt with normal (non-biker) measurements. Also DigDug, come of the closet with those! How do you wear striped pants anyway? A white or black shirt? It seems like any other pattern would clash. Maybe it's the same as a indigo wabash shirt; wear it with black jeans or tan jeans. wdw - what's on the top half? Are you wearing a plaid shirt and pin stripe pants?

I think it looks great except that they're cuffed. They seem a little dressier, like a pair of chinos, and cuffing just seems a little off to me.

Thanks for the compliment fellas. I really love these pants. I have been wanting something in a wabash fabric/print for forever, and ciano knocked it out the park! As for what to wear with them I say wear what you want! They are your pants and if anyone says anything screw em. The print and fabric seem really versatile to me. Dress shirt for a little class, work shirt, henley, or t-shirt for more of a throw back work wear look. Do a search for wabash pants and see how others are wearing them. Or take a look at the ironheart wabash stuff and get some ideas.
