Yeah, just the stark white tape. They do that to most of their denim shirts. That and the goofball pockets just keep me away.

Pockets I can accept. The contrast of the tape not so much. It's not a bad deal at $98. Maybe you could tone it down with some dye or something. But I'd just put the $ towards a shirt that's right. Not sure who has one that has that type denim, look, price off the top of my head.

Not sure who has one that has that type denim, look, price off the top of my head. RgT has neppy denim (all cotton, no filler) in multiple cuts, but the price is double. Catch it on sale though and it's a no brainer. RgT fit is a little slimmer than TS, especially in the gut.

i have a utility shirt and a black watch yosemite. I prefer my yosemite more nowawdays. The utility shirt is just too tight on me now as well as small cuffs (even moving button doesn't help).

That and the goofball pockets just keep me away. i don't hate the tape (or pockets) enough to keep from picking up their utility shirts (only have the ISC in this cut, wish i had also purchased the natural cross jacquard at the workshop price)...but the most annoying thing about the tape for me is that it's typically paired with fabrics that are sure to crock...meaning that tape is sure to be splotchy and partially indigo covered as soon as it hits water.

Maybe you could tone it down with some dye or something. I agree with this. Overdye with a brown or grey or olive would probably look damn nice.

I don't like this fabric much.

Excellent point on the contrast and the crocking. The only taped shirt I have of theirs is white anyways so it's not noticeable.

And the beer belly has decreased alot lol. It's more the gains in the shoulder and chest so its pulling alot unless I wear it unbuttoned.

bentin Avoid the "Civic" survey at all costs. Not a single item Proudly Made in California. Yeah, although that merino jacket would be a nice, casual bike jacket, and I'm less concerned about where technical stuff is made, although I have a lot of Westcomb stuff made in Canada. The pants might actually tempt me for commute wear too.

I like the idea of commuter wear, but my commute is 12 miles each way. there is no way I could do 12 miles and then wear the same clothes all day at work. matt and bentin what are your commutes?

Living in the desert, now's the perfect time to bike to work, but I only own a mountain bike. I would agree with you, I'm not going to buy "commuter wear" and proceed to wear it all day at the office. We have a gym/shower set-up at my office complex too, so it makes sense to shower and change.

Two miles to the train, another mile from the train to the office. Run 2,500 lumens of lights just to be seen. Not really sure reflective cuff tape is gonna make a difference.

Yeah, I have a shower at work too. It's a relatively new building and shower facilities are required for a green certification.

Anyone received their blue and grey Glacier yet? Seems like it's holding up my towel Glacier too.

Hey bentin, a clean sweep of genuine made in Portugal goodness in the latest TS preview email! Even the jacquard that had been made in CA is now proudly made by those linguica-eaters. Our prez elect needs to stage a Carrier-style intervention.

Haha, about to send Mina a complaint about just that. First they screwed me on the Black Friday sale by excluding the jacquard and now they're making them in Cheap Shoeville.
