I think I Must break my One Year No Spend for the Red Buffalo plaid. I know it's nothing special other then being an iconic pattern, color, style, etc. I've been looking for one for a few years but none have had the details and fit. Rogue Territory can close but ickes poopoo their shirt and the cost was to much. TS has been good to me, so TS it is!

I think it might be the white that throws me off. It always wanders into picnic blanket/table cloth territory whenever I see white in buffalo check patterns. Dunno...I'll sleep on this one. Maybe give it a shot.

Maybe give it a shot. I want to like both of them. The red is easy because it's red, but it IS lumberjack. The white is a more rare look and more versatile IMO. I dunno man, the red is nice too. I like that you can wear the white with black and blue jeans, not sure how the red/blue would pair with black.

I like them both--I think the white and blue may be more versatile but also runs the risk of potentially looking more like a Kohl's brand button down due to what might be considered a more trendy, and less timeless, color scheme. I'm relatively new to higher end shirting in general and besides two TS mechanics,a chore shirt jac, and a G workshirt, I have nothing of this sort that isn't itself a Kohl's brand shirt lol.
To you seasoned forum members, are these moto utility shirts a relatively good value at the current offering, or are you guys leaning more toward IH/other brands for something like this? I'm really happy with my TS mechanics and would definitely be interested in some more cool weather shirts in this range of pattern that I can wear alone casually or layer in the coming months. I'm not set on any particular brand, just something high quality. Obviously I can likely purchase two of these TS shirts for one of something like this from IH....any other options out there competitive to this moto utility shirt in quality and pricepoint?
Your input is appreciated, despite being a new member you guys have already helped talk me into spending a good amount of money, haha. I love the products though!

That might be what's off about it for me. Honestly if you don't mind spending the coin my advice is to just go straight for an IH shirt if you want top quality. You won't find anything better IMO. The moto shirts definitely look to be a good quality though for what you pay so I don't think you could wrong with one of those if you like any particular colorway. TS overall is good value for what you get IMO if you like the style.

I think that TS offers very good quality and price point, and mostly made in the US. A few don't care for the Portuguese made products, but I have both in the shirts I have, and feel they are equal in all things considered. There sizing works pretty well also. I have a decent shirt collection, and have very much slowed down my purchases. It takes something that really wows me, before I pull the trigger anymore, and it usually comes from IH, plus their Western cut is more fitted and looks better on me. Since I limit myself, I don't mind paying up for something really great in my eyes, but like I said, have a solid stable of shirts already. I would totally purchase from TS, but today's drop isn't a wow for me.

madmosesI'd say TS is the sweet spot for quality, price, dilivery. Yes IH makes "the best" but at twice+ the price but easy dilivery. For me it's more about the Fit. I have a IH shirt that I love the fabric and construction but the neck and arms are Much to big so I don't wear it that much. I also have a wrangler shirt from Walmart, paid $3 for, that the fit is spot on and it gets a lot of wear. TS shirts so far have fit very nicely on me.

madmoses I think DigDug and davelewis have both nailed it with their comments. At the end of the day its all about fit. If the fit isn't good it doesn't matter how cool the fabric is or how good the construction is.

Fit of course is critical, but it's really rare for me to find anything that fits just right and I end up tailoring just about everything I buy, normally the sleeves need adjusted at the very least. Is it bad/harmful to tailor high end shirts like IH or TS? Seems like no one tailors these shirts which surprises me, as pretty much every piece of clothing I own has gone to the tailor, nothing fits me perfect off the rack.

If that's what you're used to then just keep doing that. You may run into issues with your tailor refusing to put some of the heavier fabrics through their machines, though. Many are averse to the thought of shattering needles.
