Got my Swift Mills Denim utility and man this shirt is rad. I love it. The fit is perfect, the color is great, the fabric is excellent and interesting. Great, great shirt. Glad to hear it! I ordered one today. Along with The Triple Needle Moto Utility Shirt in Navy. My first foray into TS. Good choices!

small nitpick, but whyyyyyyyy white buttons...whyyyyyyyy I agree, it looks horrible. Black or brown would have been fine. The white is too contasting that the eyes immediately focus on the buttons. I hate that. But I'll still probably back the olive and blackwatch, and swap out the buttons.

Maybe they bought a shipping container full of white buttons and are trying to use them all up.

Maybe the olive... Probably not. 2016 maybe the colors will be better. A neutral color button would be so much better!

The concern over the white buttons is interesting given that the previous shirts sported the same (maybe cream/tan, I'll have to check). At any rate, they were certainly contrasting with the fabric. In fact, I'm drawn to the black (not normally a color I seek out) because of the buttons. The eye of the beholder and all that.

i actually don't mind the white on the black - it's the blackwatch that i think is ruined by them.

The olive I think could benefit from a neutral tan or brown button.

i actually don't mind the white on the black - it's the blackwatch that i think is ruined by them. It definitely is destroyed. The contrast is way too much.

They've been made in California of Portuguese chamois for at least the last two years. They used a natural corozo button previously, which was sort of off-white and from pictures appears to have some translucence. The new urea buttons are likely the same color they just seem to lack that appearance of translucency. I just determined I didn't like the colors of blackwatch in practice as much as I do in theory, I think these are great looking shirts. I just have to continue to recognize that I hate the fuzzy look of polyester fleece, and I don't want an expensive shirt that looks like fleece, regardless of how great, thick, and soft the fabric is. My opinion certainly isn't going to sop these from selling, and the olive drab really does look great, but personally I'd get a lot more enjoyment out of one of the canvas or twill offerings.

Yep, not a fan of brushed flannel or the buttons. Easy pass.

My problem with the buttons isn't the color. I like the color contrast. It's the material I don't like. I like a nice corozo button. I like how it feels. It's a more expensive material, too (not by much, but still...), and at that price I should get the same high-quality fasteners that came on the previous models. I don't like the plasticky feel of a urea button, even if they conceivably hold up better. I wouldn't be putting mine through the washer and dryer, so that benefit is negated.
EDIT: And again, I don't like sweaty fuzzy fleece-like chamois. It always feels sweaty to me, even if I'm not sweaty.

Would love to have a Black Watch shirt But not this one. It's to Linear of a pattern on this one. it does. It also seems a little to...bright?? I like it when the blackwatch is more muted or subtle if that makes sense. The blackwatch fabric that Lawless had was much more muted.

I'm going to tell Giles that Iron Heart needs to do a blackwatch. It would be interesting to see their take on one.
