You'd have to compare them to someone like Schott as they are not custom jackets. Nothing wrong with that - if you can get a good jacket that fits off the rack, then you're lucky. But there's really no comparing a bespoke jacket to a good mass (as in not one-off) jacket. With all the gear we like and discuss, there's levels. Like Sears used to say "Good, Better, and Best"... Well yeah, and that's the difference between $800 and "starts at $1100". Bespoke is always going to offer a better fit over "off-the-rack", but you do have to pay for it. There is the possibility that the construction wouldn't be technically superior, but I'm not nearly well versed enough to have that conversation. Golden Bear apparently does make full custom, though, so you could contact them to do that, too, I would imagine. Their focus seems to be the varsity jackets, though. I just thought it was weird that Golden Bear was being referred to as some sort of operation that is new to the leather game, as if it was Taylor Stitch sewing the jackets. There's a lot of details that go into a $1200-$1600 *and higher jacket. Custom sizing. Custom lining. Highest quality leather. Choices of many leathers/colors. Repop or NOS zips/snaps. Made by hand. There's nothing wrong with a $700 Golden Bear jacket offered here. It's just not "special" like the bespoke. That being said, anyone looking for a jacket should look/join forums. Right now there's some great jackets on TFL and VLJ that are great deals on nice jackets from said makers... Like anything else, you can get into the higher-echelon, but don't mean it's full of snobs. Quite the contrary, I've wasted more of my last 6 years talking such things with great guys in a number of forums... It's more like comparing IH with Gustin...

And the only pair of boots I currently own that are less than a year old are my Buzz, thank you very much! But no...I'm not. Haha. I will have the bacon and eggs, though.

I <3 my Apolis CPO. Wear it all the time once it gets cool. In fact, it stayed hung up by the door all summer so I could look at it. Soon.

Cool looking vintage jacket for sale on Etsy: (looks a lot like mine, actually; mine has the same nondescript "This Genuine Leather Garment Has Been Designed and Tailored" tag without any other indicator of maker, is in a lighter whiskey-color leather and has side slash zip pockets instead.) EDIT: I put this here in addition to the leather jacket thread because of the interest in the TS "Moto" (highwayman) jacket.

I ended up scoring a TOJ leather A2 from eBay. Cut is a bit funny on my body but that's because I'm not cut like a French fashion model.
Pretty good for what I paid!

I suspect the Triple Stitch shirts are going to separate me from some money. Balck one on IG looks good.

No, Balck. It's the new black.
Guess I should have bought a bigger phone. Or had smaller thumbs.

Dig them both, but will probably only get the black one. White buttons looks weird on the blue one. A second pocket would have forced me to get both. Weird that they only didna single pocket.

Did they hire Gustin's copy clerk? Is it 8oz or 9oz, they each say both.

ickes what size are you in TS? I'll just minus 2 from it I guess. the 38 definitely did not work, and the 40 I don't remember if it was too tight or what. Week 2 of 2 is up on TS. I like the one in Navy better than the black, but I'll pass on both as well. Not a fan of the turquoise.
