Got my three $5 tees today. One black, one medium grey, and then one that is sort of off-white/purplish tint with black stripes. Standard cotton tees.

I really dislike my gustin tees. Cheap cheap feel and look like shit after a wash. Don't even think they are worth five

SO I got one of these, slub in faded gray. Pretty thin cloth but has a great drape. Reminds me of the new JC**W T's from Vietnam that are using a superfine weave. Hopefully does not shrink down much. I like the style, looks good in person and has a nice handfeel.

Anyone know where I can get a Heavy Tshirts like the Gustin heavy? 7+oz ? Somewhat fitted not a box cut. I tried on but didn't buy a heavyweight T from 3sixteen at ickes's suggestion. Very nice T's. Nicely fitted and the fabric is beautiful. Pricey though. I'm planning on pick one up soon, as soon as I can get back to the store that carries them in my area.

How's sizing on them. I wear a Gustin Large in the T I wear a G Large as well. The 3sixteen L was pretty much perfect for me as long as there is no shrink. ickes says they don't shrink if you don't put them in the dryer. When I go back to buy, I'm gonna try on a L and XL to see the difference.

I have a soft spot in my heart for BlackBlue, but the other two are pretty good as well. Each fits into a slightly different niche in the local retail ecosystem.

AF doesn't seem to have much in the way of denim. I think I saw Japan Blue and Momotaro on their site. MP3 seems to have the largest selection of brands, whereas, BB seems to have the smallest. But, with so many brands available to me via the internet it's hard to justify shopping at a B&M.

It fits well and if there was any shrink in the L, I would end up looking like a real guido. I guess if you want snug, go L, if you want a little wiggle room, go XL. A gustin L is pretty fitted on me, for reference.

FWIW I'll add that a Gustin L is fitted on the sleeves, comfortable in the chest and roomy in the torso on me.
Also I should point out that if you the Indigo dyed or the garment dyed T's you should size up one.

But, with so many brands available to me via the internet it's hard to justify shopping at a B&M. AF has the smallest selection and it skews towards outdoorsy a bit. They are, however, the only momotaro stockist in town, as you said. Probably not worth making a dedicated trip, but it is about two blocks from MP3, so you can hit both of them and not even have to move your car. MP3 is definitely worth a trip. they have a pretty big selection of denim, probably bigger than black blue (not all of it raw selvedge though) THey also have a lot of suiting and other stuff in the store. It's actually kind of overwhelming. I would say black blue is more for the hard core denim guy, while MP3 is a little more "trendy", though I don't think that word is quite right. I hear you about internet shopping, but there is something to be said for feeling a fabric in your hand, comparing it to other brands in real time and dialing in your fit. If you're patient about doing returns and stuff with online retailers then it's probably no big deal, but I like the immediacy of a brick and mortar.

I will also ad that the garment dyed fabrics are really effing nice but unfortunately the fit doesn't work for me. For whatever reason they are a bit shorter than the other T's and I'm in between an XL and XXL on those.

I think I actually bought my first few 3sixteen T's from MP3's online store. Great online service for what it's worth
