Guys - looking for your thoughts on the Samurai s710xx vs the fullcount 1109xx. Help me choose! Well, it's a tough one. do you want 19 oz or 15.5 oz??? Zimbabwe cotton or not Zimbabwe cotton??? I like how the fullcounts have two tone stitching, that's a cool look imo. Personally, if you were putting a gun to my head right now and making me choose, I would go with the fullcounts.

I noticed the two thread colors too. The Sammys seem to have the same thing, just a little more subtle. I bet that shit blows Gustin's tonal mind.

but make sure you check the fits jray. For me if I went with the full counts I would have to size up two or three sizes in the waist to get the thighs to fit me or I would get my correct waist size and possibly try as cold of a soak in the tub as I could do while wearing them.

Guys - looking for your thoughts on the Samurai s710xx vs the fullcount 1109xx. Help me choose! Samurai's denim seems pretty cool and I like the heavier weight. But the fit of Full Count seems a little better. Both are cool, Ickes will suggest you get both. And some Iron Hearts. Bentin - thank you

ickes, I'll be interested to see pics your Onis when they arrive. The 517 fabric photos look different than the 527 or 288 (which I have), and it's hard to tell how slubby they are. The 288 fabric is incredible, and it'll be interesting to see the variation across their product line.

mrlono - I have the 517's in the 14 oz and they're very slubby - they don't look like the G super heavy slub (or I wouldn't have ordered them) but they are thick and very bumpy

jray do you have (or have you already posted) photos of the 517 fabric? it does seem that each line has slightly different fabric characteristics. i'm looking for a loose weave with the dusty/brown neps, similar to what jeffrx posted, but in/around that 14oz pre-soak weight.

David - I don't have pics but am wearing them now and can tell you they're very slubby and bumpy but not neppy at all. These ones don't have a beige weft. There is some white weft showing through but it's minimal and inconsistent. Blueingreen soho and the rakuten sights have decent pics. Mine are the 517's 14 oz. The one Ickes bout are the 517xx which are 16.6 ounces and have a beige weft. The secret denim are the ones with the beige neps showing through but they're 20 oz.

Ickes - I bought the 34 inch fullcount 1109xx in one wash and went by the blueingreen soho one wash specs. I did the same for my Oni's and it worked out perfectly.

I have the samurai 710xx 19oz denim. Amazing. Unique hand feel, hairy, they fade differently than a singed Gustin say. The first layer fades first it's pretty damn cool.

Thanks Brentkuz - I remember you saying you loved yours. The only other pair I'd like for the collection is an IH if rakuten every carries a fit that will work for me such as the 777's. If not, the samurai's will be my heavier weight choice.

Sure will. I'll definitely be soaking these. First unsanforized for me. I used the charts from blue in green.

I just got my Oni 288ZR from VARI and got slapped with a $85 customs fees! On a $208 pair. I'm livid to say the least.
Denim is quite beautiful and very nepy. I'll need to soak them as they are unsanforized to get the right fit.
