I love them and only need the brown color to complete the set. Unless IH comes out with another color I'll be done with the 816s. The funny thing is that whenever there's a G or CF chino discussion, I convince myself that for another $50 or so I can just order the 816s. Unfortunately, I'll need another pair of chinos to obsess over. Honestly I love them both. Basically you can have Ciano work his fit around you and get more 816 cut. I love my brown 18oz Ciano chinos. Great idea if CF would go along with it. Thanks |

Thanks I don't want to speak for him but my advice. Look at his fit chart and compare it to your 816. If you can tweak little things off one of his fits already I think you will not have an issue. Ciano 18oz duck is great my IH 816 I got used so I can't speak to the original feel but the duck from CF is damn hardy and has some bite to it. I'm sure it will soften over time. |

If anybody digs corduroys and is a small waist around a size 28 there are a few pairs left on IHUK going for 100 bucks a pop. They are 14oz corduroys (most are 8 oz) and they are in black, olive green, or beige. The fit is based off of the 634 cut. www.ironheart.co.uk/bottoms/ih-6634.html |

yeah ickes, those are beautiful, really jealous of that material. got excited when i found them recently at SE on my quest for the grey weft and got super excited when they had the 301S listed...went to order and i'd have to size up if i wanted 'em. boo. congrats on grabbing a pair! |

it could - it's not my preferred fit. i had written IH off until i saw the 301S this week (which i grabbed in the 21oz). i didn't realize that SE had a couple of custom fits, i thought it was just the 633. and that makes me kick myself even harder for missing out on the greys.
if the 633 were around in my size, i'd definitely jump on it just to have the material and do everything i could to shrink it down where i needed.
