So I'd be on this IH Band Wagon if I could find the right fit. I've measured and measured, looked at most available Fit guides. But just can't seem to find the right fit. I'm looking for a fit similar to the Gustin slim. I think the Beatle Buster is the closest. Any one have a pair? I'm thinking the 21oz would work best for me.

If i'm not mistaken the 777 and 555 would be closer to Gustin Slim as they are the slimmest Iron Hearts. The rise is higher though. More of a mid rise. A few weights to choose from. They call them super slim but they aren't compared to most others slims or skinnys. www.ironheart.co.uk/super-slim-jeans

So it's looking like the cheeper way to get the best fit for me is to buy a pair of IH634s off Rakuten and send them to RailCar to be Tapered. The wide leg opening is just to much for my size 9 foot.
Whats the stretch like on the 21oz?

You're probably looking for whatever IHUK exclusive fit ickes always raves about. You're exactly right exophobe and I was just logging on here to suggest that, but it's actually an Iron Heart/SelfEdge collab exclusive fit. It's the 633S fit and I'm telling you guys it's the best fit I have found (although the Oni 517 fit is a very close second.... if not tied with the IH 633S fit). Anyways, DigDug the fit you are looking for is the 633S fit. Yes, I know you can only get it at SelfEdge...yes, I know that means it's hella expensive...yes, I know you're probably going to say you don't want to spend that much money on a pair of jeans and believe me, I understand that. I looked at the 633S on SelfEdge for weeks because I was so hesitant to spend that much (and I had SE store credit too) on a pair of jeans but finally I said f!@k it, and I picked up the IndigoxGrey Left hand twill Loomstates in the 633S fit and it is without a doubt the best pair of jeans I own (in terms of every category, fit, construction, material, etc..). As of right now that fit is only available in two fabrics; the 20oz Left Hand Twill IndigoxGrey Loomstate that I have, and the 21oz indigo fabric. I believe I saw Giles mention on the IH forum that they are planning on releasing more fabrics in that fit. Anywho, this fit works perfect for me and I have no problem paying full US/UK retail prices for this particular IH fit because it really is absolutely worth it. Not just for the fit but for the second to none Iron Heart quality as well.

ickes that's the fit I like. But at $360 "Ouch"! I think I can achieve the same cut by sending a pair of 634s from Rakuten to RailCar. It would be about $100 cheeper. Not sure if its worth the savings..... I could end up with a nice custom pair of jeans Or a Franken pair.

I guess you could try doing that..... but I believe the rise is quite a bit higher on the 634s as it's more along the lines of a straight fit rise, so I don't know if it's even possible to alter the rise???

After thinking about it, it's not worth the gamble of $100. At least with SE I can return. Now I just need to hang out on these IH threads to desensitize myself to the $360 price

Remember with SE you can only exchange but not get a refund. Once you commit, your money is locked with them, you only get store credit if you back from your purchase.

Yeah, what gsg is saying is true DigDug but I still think it's worth it to go with SE and pick up the 633S. It is completely worth it IMO. If they don't work out for whatever reason you can return them to SE and you'll 360 bucks of store credit to burn and I'm sure you'll be able to find something to spend that on.

All Right, "IF" I'm gonna drop $360 Dollah's on a pair of IH, I'm gonna need a little more convincing..... I'll need some Pics, ranting and raving, some more pics! Having Giles coming on the Forum goes a long way also.
You guys got 71 days (dam @devatitis and his 90 day no spend!)

How are you guys wearing the heavy denim (I'd be getting the 21oz), just during the Fall/Winter/Spring? How's it feel in 80degree weather?

dang unnamed. Give DigDug a break. The guy said he has 70+ days until the purchase, don't tempt him so much on day one.

How's it feel in 80degree weather? my pair was 20oz pre soak so I'm assuming that's about 21oz post soak and I'm still wearing them everyday in Phoenix. I'm figuring I can get about 8 or 9 months of wear out of mine.

I don't wear it above 80 because I find it too uncomfortable. I like heavyweight denim, but it doesn't breathe much and I don't want to create some kind of suffer-fest. When it gets above the low 70's, I retire the 25 oz for the season. When it gets above 75 or so, I retire the 23 and 21 for the season. From 75 - 80 ish, I'll wear IH 18 oz or Gustin 16'ers depending on the humidity. Over 80 ish, it's time for shorts. For me, heavy denim is a 3 season clothing.

The thing is though..with me....on my days off of work, 90% of the time I'm inside during the summer and when I am outside it's usually because I'm at a swimming pool in swim trunks. I do work outside (in an auto shop) M-F and I'm wearing either my Gustin Okayama Standards or Heavy Americans for work, but on my off days and before and after work I am inside. Or if I do go run some errands I'm not outside for very long as I'm just walking from an air conditioned building to my air conditioned vehicle.

If I make it through this 90 day no spend, I'll drop the $360 for a pair. I'm loving my 16oz RailCars. But I'll put the time in both no problem. I'm Interested in comparing the two.

Iron heart HK dropping prices due to weak yen. I wonder if self edge will do the same.

Iron heart HK dropping prices due to weak yen. I wonder if self edge will do the same. I imagine all retailers may do so, considering many consumers are bypassing said retailers to buy direct from Japan (rakuten).

Yes, all retailers will do and Self Edge actually implemented the new prices before IHUK did.....

Yep Edit: At least the loombreakers are UK only… JP might be getting the non-Selvedge version, not sure. They won't
