Maybe we became too needy..... I don't really deal with Japanese business but american ones eat up when you send them emails wanting to buy things. That's what they make their money one. Maybe they don't care about sales or just hate shipping to the USA. Who knows it's odd.

Most business owners aren't trying to be rich, even bar owners, etc. They own a business because it's relevant to something they are passionate about.

Has anyone here who has corresponded with Rumiko asked what's up? I've just emailed him (again). I'm wondering if IH has nobbled him as they don't like to see us westerners buying half price gear from Japan when we could be contributing to IHUK's possibly gargantuan profits instead. Presumably there's nothing to stop us still buying whatever's on sale in Rakuten anyway, rather than asking for special deliveries of items not in stock at Rodeo. Anyway, I'm happy with my 4 half price IH pieces so far, and will happily get more if I can get my hands on it at the right price.

I don't know if iron heart would care who sells their goods as long as they are selling. My understanding is iron heart sell their wares then self edge import them and charge accordingly due to taxes and import fees.

Interesting disparity between the denim world and bicycling. I buy lots of Japanese cycling components from the UK for about 50% of US retail because the UK vendors remove VAT when selling to the U.S. Seems like SelfEdge and others could do this but don't.

bentin - funny how stuff works depending on where you live, not funny because I understand importing and never ending taxes. I like looking on rakuten for Vanson leather jackets and they are all over $1000.

Well, I finally heard back from Rodeo after sending in an enquiry about the IH-9526V black 21oz vest which is now back in stock. This time it was Mihara, who was very helpful, so I placed the order and should get in in a week or so. But I never heard back from Rumiko about a jacket I was enquiring about. Who knows what happened there, as there could be a few people on this board still waiting to hear back. For me, I'd never have discovered IH if LD had been able to deliver what they promised. For sure I've paid a lot more, but the good thing is that the quality is top-notch and guaranteed, and ickes' issue with his shirt today proves that.

Per Giles in the Iron Heart forums, Iron Heart is currently developing and IndigoxRust fabric for one of their retailers that is due to be released in the fall of this year. It will be in the 634S cut and "one other cut". I'm guessing (hoping) that this is their next SelfEdge collaboration and the other cut that Giles speaks of is the 633S cut. I will have no problem dropping 350 bucks or so on these if that is the case. Call me crazy, but it would be worth it IMO.

ickes, if you don't want to wait that long you can also check out The Strike Gold's 21XX series, which has a rust-colored weft. It's actually died with mud. They have a few cuts available at Self Edge and you can find them on Rakuten as well (Klax-On). www.selfedge.com/jeans?product_id=681global.rakuten.com/en/store/klax-on/Sorry to hijack the IH thread, just wanted to point out other options. The upcoming IH release should be awesome as well and I look forward to seeing what details they incorporate. It will also be interesting to see if they develop a new fabric or if it'll be similar to a current product.

Why the hell did I come in here?! I didn't know about those Strike Golds. And now I must have them. Dammit!
I haven't warmed to IH, so it seemed like a safe trip to kick the proverbial tires.

Strike Golds look more interesting than the Momo 0702 Brs, but luckily for my wallet (maybe unlucky I decide to go full MSRP for them), I can't find any in my size from Rakuten.

Agreed, there's something a little sterile about Rampuya (Momo and Japan Blue) that The Strike Gold seems to do better, at least to my eyes.

The Strike Gold rules! Seriously, it should be one of the main topics for discussion here IMHO. The 17oz mud dye weft looks insane in the pictures and TSG loopwheeled sweatshirts are to die for.

I just don't dig the back pocket stitching on The Strike Golds....it's seriously a deal breaker for me.

ickes - you prefer the plain pockets I guess. Personally, I don't pay much attention to that unless the design is ridiculous. Once they fade, the design on these will be tough to see. Just my opinion if you like the rest of the design of the jeans

Thirty seconds with a seam puller and your issues are solved.

Also called a seam ripper. They're dirt cheap and great at fixing Japanese acuates. Sadly they can't erase Momotaro's Battle Stripes.
