was thinking about picking up a thermal henley (been wanting a nicer one for a while) until jamesr pointed out how wide those shoulder seams are on the ironheart uk site. i'm not sure i could deal with the feel or aesthetics of that. i grew to hate the feeling of shoulder seams hanging off of my shoulders like that...makes me feel like i've got a poorly fitted hoodie on and it's slipping off. (mostly mental)

@david, it's hard to see in the pictures I posted, but the shoulder seams are not nearly as wide as on the ironheart.co.uk site.
Mine are about half an inch too wide. His look crazy wide. I referenced the pic because I feel like they are maybe not meant to hit right at the shoulder?

Wondering if I should go with a large or XL for the henley. brentkuz, I don't think you'll go wrong either way. I have one in L and one in XL. The L fit me perfect out of the bag so I cold wash and hang dry that bad boy. My XL fit larger out of the bag but still fit. I was just a bit longer and bigger all around but still was easily a great fit. After some wears I decided I prefered the snugger fit of my Large so I decided to warm wash and machine dry on low heat my XL. It came out fitting almost exactly like my L. Both fit perfect now. I also decided to shrink up my XXL black heavyweight flannel just a touch more so I gave it a warm wash and dried it on low heat. The damn thing fits perfect now. I've found there's a lot you can do with IH shirts if they fit a little roomier than you prefer out of the bag. You can mold them quite successfully to the fit you desire by varying wash and dry temps.

Kudos to you. Probably one of the hardest things on the planet to do, especially if most of the people you know do it as well. BTW, tell us about the footwear in that picture. Yes its been about 22 months of no cigs. I ended up trying Chantex & using the E.cigs for a bit. The shoes are Mr. B's which is to Aldo what Wallace & Barnes is to JCrew. They are a pretty cool shoe I wear sparingly because I like em so much if that makes sense. Late on this, but I've quit for 9 months now cold turkey, with no desire to smoke anymore. I read Easy Way to Stop Smoking by Allen Carr, and I was able to cut by from a pack a day to a pack a week or two. Then I watched their webcast on their website, and have been smoke free since. Should check it out. I recommend it to everyone.

I'm a 35"actual waist and I've got room in the L IH henley so I think it will depend on that.

If a Classic Medium Gustin WS is the fit I'm looking for, slimmer is okay but not as slim as TS's 38 Railroad shirt, which Iron Heart size should I look for?

I use IH UK/Giles site for measurements. You might be a medium in IH too? Shoulder & chest measurements are critical, no? Each IH shirt has its own build specs etc and, also, there can be wee margins/fluctuations in measurements of the same model. I used to contact Giles, or whoever answered, to plead for their "widest" 46' chest. lol (me,IH-XL. Have G trucker, also XL). They were cool w/ it. Also, some of their fabrics stretch/can be stretched more than others - maybe ask about this? Never tried it w/ shops at rak but they could probably sort it too. Good luck!

EXACTLY! ^^^^^ Thanks for the pics DirtyDenim. Personally I don't think I will ever be able to take the IH plunge. I absolutely cannot be convinced that their products are actually worth the prices they are charging for it. The mark ups seem to be completely absurd. Keep in mind I have never seen an IH product in person, but this is just my two cents Remember when ickes said this.
