Hi all just did a cold soak to my IH and after a hang dry they developed these vertical fold lines on both legs. Will it go away with wear ? Worth hitting it with a quick iron I vaguely remember having Levi's develop this sometimes and they never went away... i.imgur.com/1juCozn.jpgi.imgur.com/yLVkZB8.jpgLooks fine to me. I thinks it just the imperfection you'll get with raw denim. I had a couple pair of Levis many moons ago that I had cold washed to shrink, and when I removed them from the washer, both pair had a couple of huge gaping holes in them, about 3-4" in diameter. Took them back to exchange them, and the gal there told me she had seen it before.

You mean the light creasing? They'll be fine, and they should likely fall out after 1 wear.

I also noticed that Selfedge has most of their stock still around, with most sizes, which tells me the market might be a little saturated. i'd say it's because most people can't justify spending 300+ ducats on 1 flannel shirt. not necessarily saying they're not worth that much, as value can be subjective, but your regular Joe Blow wouldn't get past the sticker shock.

One of these from selfedge or IHUK is about the average most men spend on their wardrobe per year.

We looked in the fabric room and I said "how much for this one" and he goes "1k". I talked to him last year about suits so I was not really surprised.

What's the reasoning for the chain stitch runoff on IH flannels? Would it affect the integrity of the shirt if I were to trim them?

I think the runoff is only on the Work shirt flannels, and all mine are Westerns. I usually leave it on shirts that have it, but I have a heavy Western denim shirt that came with a substantial runoff of 3-4 inches, and when I would turn around to lock my door when I left the house, it seemed to always catch on the screen door handle, so off it came.

Don't wait too long; I think the Ultra-heavy flannels are going to be few and far between from now on. Something to do with the scarcity of the wild Peruvian cotton they use for them. They're certainly not doing 9-10 of them a year.. That would be smart on their part. There is a great market for UHFs, but I don't think the average joe would buy as many as they put out last year. I've got three, and might be tempted to pick up another, but am holding out for something special, instead of another color of buffalo check, or samo samo. I also noticed that Selfedge has most of their stock still around, with most sizes, which tells me the market might be a little saturated. Hopefully, they will have some of them reduced in a few months when it warms up. IH products always sell slower at SE and I'm not sure that it's a sign of the market being saturated with most of their stock still being available. They have shirts that are 2+ years old still available that sold out quick at IHUK. I think it's probably more of a sign that if you take away the diehard IH fans/forum members that buy up the more desirable items the second they are released, then you see the products sit for much longer.

With that being said though, the market is pretty saturated right now with UHFs.

I suppose one might order direct, rather than through SE is you can return it for a refund, where SE won't return your cash.

Just got my IHSH-76 delivered and thought I'd throw up a couple pics. This thing is solid and I love the pockets on it. The guys at IH found one that measured a little smal for XXXL and I think it's spot on, when I get to a soak/wash stage I may just add some heat to try and tighten it up a little. I also scored a free bandanna as I ordered during the Christmas sale. Sleeves are a little long now but I assume they'll shorten as I get some elbow creases going. Dont sweat the sleeves. That looks like normal shirt fitting to me. This whole super short sleeve thing is played out IMO and not as functional nor comfortable. Nice fit.

Giles and Haraki are developing a new cut for their jeans. It will be based off of a 634 cut but with a higher rise and a taper from the knee down.

Hoping that there is not too much taper, as it can become problematic wearing them with engineer boots, considering the fact they have riding in mind with this brand. Over time though, they probably will have to move a little into the fringes to grow.

I actually think it's a really good idea and should be a good cut for sure. It will be real close to the 633 SelfEdge exclusive cut. Also similar to a Railcar Spikes cut and a Left Field Greaser cut.

It actually sounds like a modified 1955 cut, with a bit less rise. I think if I were to buy a new pair of jeans today, I would try the LF Greaser.

Ive been wanting a pair of Cone I can wear year round, something simple and easy. I would have preferred the 14oz cone slub but they didn't have my size.
