Looking at the 141 or 644 and also the 118 and 613 jackets. I'm looking at them for two reasons. 1. Style 2. To wear while riding. Sold my kawisaki textile and leather jackets last year. Question on sizing. By for guide could be a 42 or 44. There are no schott retailers near me. Damn Rhode Island. Then I also saw some people sizing up to a 46 on the 118's. I have a natural 43" chest and usually wear a 42R suit jacket, XL iron heart shirts but ones a large. Really fit a 42" chest as I am dropping weight. Just seeing the general thoughts on these jackets. I know FourHorsemen must have one.

I don't know if you are hell bent on Schott, but you could ride over to Fall River and try on a Vanson Model A.

brentkuz I picked up my motorcycle at the shop this afternoon (who also sells Vanson). I tried on a 42, 44 and 46. They all "fit" depending on what kind of fit you are looking for. You and I are pretty much the same size. For me I would go with a 44. Not too trim not too loose. But who knows, the wife might convince me the 42 is the way to go.

I went to the Vanson shop yesrerday. Awesome place love the old mill. Cool they moved all production back to Fall River back from Guatemala.
44 is def my size now it's just between four jackets.
Making a Vanson thread.

Lots of guys are happy with this place. www.johnsonleather.comSchott make good - very good jackets. Many of them have a wider/fuller cut. Some are a newer trim cut. I've owned a number of them over the years, but you're sized 44 which is good because there's lots of used jackets floating on eBay and the forums in that size range. I'd rather get a second hand Aero, Good Wear, etc. than spend on a new Schott - unless it's at a good discount. Hanson are also good jackets and can be had often on forums/eBay.

I'm currently trolling the fleabay. What's "competition weight"? Is that lighter or heavier?

What did you end up getting? When I am not zipped up in my Aerostich (black ballistics, hi-viz!) I have a Vanson COBRA Mark2 with back, elbow, shoulder protection
