Top, HUF Dylan Black Perf/Bone White.
Bottom, Aldo Adadorien Sneaker. Not a cool brand, but a cool-lookin' sneaker.

Excellent mail day this week! I am weak for clean, solid white shoes, I finally got my hands on some Converse CT70 Ox Monochrome (and the white Jack Purcell Signature, but the monos have been on every day since arrival). Other all-white sneakers on my list lately are the Nike Dunk Lux High (both the leather and the DSM Ventile), and the some all white DSM/Colette/Barneys exclusive Stan Smiths that I'll never find in my size. These will do nicely, for now.

But they're horsehide, and from a manufacturer that you can go read about sizing advice and have a reasonable expectation that what you purchase will fit you. However, someone is likely writing about what a waste of horsehide this is while I'm typing.

Marc - which style did you go for? The low tennis. Went back and forth between that and the trainer.

When I got the email from Epaulet about these the only thing that kept me interested was the fact that they are horse.

I think it's cool these are also part of a contest to win some shell cordovan sneakers, too. however, the interesting thing is that they're doing horsehide sneakers for less money than gustin is doing chromexcel using the same model. I guess being non-treated maybe the leather is cheaper?

The chromexcel lows are $249, the tennis low is $245. Chromexcel high is $269, tennis high is $265. Admittedly, though, $4 isn't much, but then G is charging $14 to ship theirs.

Woah......I didn't even pay attention to how costly those Gustin sneaks are. Yikes.

Most UK trainer shops seem to be running 50% off deals at the moment so I've been stocking up. Had my eye on these for a while and they've just been discounted by £55. Will look forward to wearing these if our summer finally arrives at some point...

Also picked these up, Asics 'Made of Japan' GLIIIs. They use Okayama produced Japanese denim in their construction materials.

I guess being non-treated maybe the leather is cheaper? I was thinking that them being an established shoe company with working relationships for their materials & labor was more to blame for them being able to price things more aggressively than G. Until I checked this thread this morning, I didn't even know G was doing shoes now (I don't get the emails or check their site now). TBH, I'll gladly stick with established reliable companies from whom I wouldn't expect issues in workmanship, such as Common Projects & the like. Most CP's can be had for 30-50% off if you're resourceful and patient regarding sales & international web-stores. I do not currently own any CP's but they (and their retailers) are quite friendly about refunding, exchanging (for another new pair from inventory, which G won't) or even partially refunding to reflect any defects or issues that may come up in a newly purchased pair. With the flaws inherent to footwear (marked leather, excess/messy glue or stitching, etc), I would never take the gamble on G.

The sand colourway (above) was my favourite from the GLIII Laser Cut pack. I thought they were too pricey when they came out (£115 over here) but they've hit the sales and can be had for £68 now.
It's certainly very tempting...
