Buy some 70's while you can! I'm looking for some off white/parchment whatever you call it 1970's in 8.5. If anyone knows where the cheapest deal is let me know. Beyond eBay, I really believe that Converse outlet stores are the only solid way to get 70s below retail as most web stores don't drop price on them and/or sell out of their stock. Your next best bet is going to be whatever premium outlet (like Nordstrom Rack) is in your area - but at least at the Cons outlet you can just call them to ask if they have what you need rather than drive over & scout it. Many outlets may also be open to shipping too, so don't be afraid to ask.

I finally got the deal I was looking for, on the NB M996DOL. 40% off at unionmadegoods. Next on the wantlist..... nice score. I was just checking their stock on NB, unfortunately, there are no size 10's left. I need me some new NB's I highly recommend you seek them out. They are a great shoe. They pair well with anything. Although, beware the crock monster. I've already picked up some indigo transfer on the upper heel section. No doubt, from the cuff of my SG2109. 40% off has become my breaking point on everything I covet. I found the 1400CL (2nd pic) for 40% off, from Supply & Advise (out of Miami). I couldn't help myself, I had to cop them, as well. UPS dropped them off a bit ago. I think I'm set on kicks, for a while.

I just laced up the NB 1400CL. I've got to say, I love this shoe. The color is excellent. As I had hoped, it's a very subtle yellow. They will certainly stand out, but not blindingly so. Additionally, I made another great discovery. It would seem the 1400s have a slightly wider toe box, which accomodates my size H width feet a bit better than the 996s I have. Don't get me wrong, my 996s are quite comfortable, but every extra bit helps. I will admit, I never gave thought to researching the fit of various models. I was buying based on appearance alone. Ultimately, I will still buy 996s. But, I will definitely favor 1400s, if they can be had in similar colorways.

Looks more like what I would call a mustard color. Cool color scooter.

Wait I'm sorry H width? What are you part ape? Part ape ? Interesting question. I will admit, at one time, my ex did affectionately call me her gorilla. Don't ask me to elaborate, though.

Those are some wide feet man. You're singing to the choir. I'm the one who has the unenviable task of breaking in boots with them. My right foot is the true H. My left is a 3E. The H width is equivalent to a 4E. I'm always looking for W, 2E, and 3E widths. Unfortunately, most stock items aren't made that way. So, I stick with brands that typically have a wider toe box. NB and Vans work great, for sneaks, and I've had luck with Chippewa and Wolverine for boots.

The latest addition to my MIUSA collection. I needed a pair of blues. Although, I am still on the lookout for a deal on these...
I think this addiction may be just as consuming as the denim.

I think this addiction may be just as consuming as the denim. You just may be a sneakerhead. Sneakerhead ? Not likely. Those guys are fanatical. Some of those guys know more facts about the shoes than the makers do. I have certainly acquired an appreciation for MIUSA New Balance, though. If that makes me a sneakerhead, so be it.

Classic sneakers redone in natural leather. Not my style but they are unique, and yes expensive.

Classic sneakers redone in natural leather. Not my style but they are unique, and yes expensive. I like that they're $1000, but you only pay that because they're handmade by craftsmen that don't find stitching crooked lines acceptable. The sole stitching on the right shoe (in the forefront) looks like a crocodile mouth.

You know what really grinds my gears?..
I really dont like the little freckled air holes on top of the toes of shoes. Like on Air Force 1s and such. I would own alot more shoes if those little holes didnt exist.

Latest grab..... M996CPS I thought I'd be holding out for my next pair. But, I can't pass up the deals. This was my third straight pair from Supply & Advise. After all discounts, I paid just shy of $58 for these, and just under $240 for the 3 pairs, with the shipping factored in. All around, a great deal for MiUSA NB.

All my shoes without them seem fine enough. Even my boots in the summer. If i want some air I'll wear sandals.

Yeah, Hender Schemes are a shoe only it's maker can love (that's equal to a face only a mother can love, yeah?). Perhaps if they weren't monotone natural leather I'd find them to be less unsightly, but I doubt it. I always see them pop up in Reddit but have never seen them "work" with any outfits posted, and the buyers seem to dress a bit clownish. Then again, I don't think I'll see eye to eye with the styling of those buying handmade Air Jordan 4's made entirely of natural leather, and I don't think I'm likely to appreciate or approve of their shoes/outfit regardless of what they're paired with.

i've been wearing the pf flyers rubber grounder for rain. got 'em in black camo - not a big camo fan but it's not very noticeable when on: plus their pattern has a holstein cow effect which makes me feel like i'm 3 again.
