At least someone had a proper use of laser, unlike the various ugly laser iterations of Jordan Brand shoes, etc.

The Jordan lasers aredetaiked works of art! Maybe you don't realize the level of detail put in to them, and the innovation for the time they were made.
Here it is, over 10 years later, and finally other brands are using the technique......

While I can appreciate the innovation from afar, I really can't get behind the look of that particular color way (goes for any and all Nike/Jordan Brand laser releases). I've worn and loved plenty of Jordan's for over a decade, but I'm really only fond of the oldest plainest releases, lever loud / bright / intricate ones.
Besides, there are some really great clothing companies taking to laser cutting the patterns for their clothes now, and I'll take that over designs on shoes any day. Low profile, ultra thin taped seams on something like a Visvim jacket? Yes please!

Greatsbrand Kents. I think I may switch to some hiking laces. Once these break in I think they are going to look pretty awesome. The pants are Gustin heavy caramels, incidentally.

I like the Chucks but the Jack Purcell's do it for me. The Chuck 2's do look interesting.

They're available now, for $75 / $70 High/Low. Wish they had a natural, not just bleached white. But may try a black one just to compare to 70's.

Will they be replacing the original chucks? Or just adding a new line chuck 2.0

Not sure yet but it seems like a smart move, also not sure if they'll offer a 70's version. Converse Chuck Taylor 2.0 70's. Rolls right off the tongue.

I'll probably cop a black pair. That blue looks tasty too.

I just realized what I don't like about the Chuck 2's. Tonal stitching. Think I'll just get some natural 70's high tops and crock them to death. And yes, I realize naturals sort of have tonal stitching, maybe I'll go custom and add red stitching.

Hmm, customizer says 70's are only available until 9/1/15. I suppose that means Chuck 2's are replacing the 70's, not the base model.

the Chuck 2s were an addition to the line - never heard what they were doing with the 70s but they were intended to live next to the originals.

Hmm, customizer says 70's are only available until 9/1/15. I suppose that means Chuck 2's are replacing the 70's, not the base model Custom 70s may be going away, but not the 70 as a whole - NikeID removes and brings back models of shoes all the time. The CT70 and CT70 Ox are going nowhere soon. One of my best friends works for Converse HQ and admits that he likes the CT2, but will likely continue with CT70s for daily wear. BTW the CONS CT models have offered lunar foot beds and more durability than the standard CT for years now, and are easily found on sale or outlets. I've narrowed my selections down to only CT70s and JP Sigs, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Buy some 70's while you can!
I'm looking for some off white/parchment whatever you call it 1970's in 8.5. If anyone knows where the cheapest deal is let me know.
