Any of you own anything by this company? Seems like a nice alternative to N&F (made in Canada). BOW has a couple of the selvedge denim offerings which look nice and the fit looks like it could work for me. Their IxI blue line selvedge looks interesting, although, now that I have the 3sixteen shadow selvedge it would almost be pointless to cop a pair since they look similar.

Just nabbed a pair of USDG's 14oz navy tonal selvedge denim from Roden Gray for around $100. The fabric is from Kaihara Mills and the jeans have a blue line selvedge ID. I've read that the fade potential is similar to 3sixteens shadow selvedge, so should be interesting.

i'm a little nervous about the fit. I had emailed customer service at RG about measuring the waist/cuff on their navy tonal selvedge jeans but got a late response. By that time I had already placed an order because I didn't want to miss out on their sale. But, I contacted USDG and asked for their fit guide and based my order off of that. As a fail safe, I also reached out to Jay at BOW and asked about his fit guide for USDG since I trust his measurements. USDG's fit guide and BOW's fit guide are very similar so i'm 90% confident that I made the correct size choice. However, the rep that responded to my email from RG gave me measrements that were very different from USDG's and BOW's - i'm starting to wonder if she gave me measurements for the 'slight' fit rather than the 'narrow' fit which is what I ordered. Guess i'll find out in a week

nice fit! at those prices you got me looking into the brand but their slim seems a bit too skinny for me in the top block.

also, BOW has sizing specs for the narrow and slight fits on their site so if you need them again, definitely check there.

nice fit! at those prices you got me looking into the brand but their slim seems a bit too skinny for me in the top block. the pic I posted is from a Massdrop campaign from awhile ago - I believe the model is wearing their slight fit which has a 15" cuff. I ordered the narrow fit because the cuff measurement is at around 8" or a little over. The slight fit is a bit too slim. The only fit comparison I can make is that USDG's slight and narrow fit is probably similar to 3sixteen's slim taper and slim straight fit. I'm just surprised that USDG doesn't get much mention here or over on SF. Their fabrics are sourced from Japan and their jeans are made in the US from what I've read. The navy tonal selvedge jeans I ordered are 14oz and from the Kaihara Mills, so I think it'll be similar to my 3sixteen shadow selvedge.

oooohhhhh, haahaha - was all like lookin' good mr. cottah.
honestly i never give them much thought because i lump them in with n&f in terms of the perceived quality and lack of details. for under $100 they're definitely worth trying out (which i would if i didn't have to grab something that would be 2.5" too big in the waist).
interested in hearing what you think of them when they come in - that photo almost has a herringbone look to the denim. the fit across the board seems a little bit more skinny than a slim tapered (for their slim fit) - the ST from 3Sixteen has better proportions from waist to thigh.

I think the USDG navy tonal selvedge originally retails for $178. the 12.5 indigo selvedge is probably around $130 or so. I believe Jay at BOW stated that they'll be getting more of the navy tonal slight fit in stock but will be retailing them at a cheaper price point. But I agree, for under $100 they were worth trying imo. as for the details, it's a heavy fabric from a Japanese mill, has a leather patch and nice looking hardware. It sounds pretty basic but at least they didn't try and add crazy shit to their jeans like some other companies. i'll post an update once i've received them.

These look a lot like my Naked and Famous Elephant 4 in this pic. Was just at the USDG website and see that have some selvedge jeans on an almost half price sale. $81 unitedstockdrygoods.com/Tempted on the black except they're only 9 ounce. The grey and indigo are 14 oz. The Narrow fit looks like a nice medium rise sizing with a slim cuff.

I copped mine at Roden Gray but with international shipping it came close to $100. I was also tempted by the black but didn't bite because they were only 9oz. BOW's Narrow/Slight fit guide is supposed to be fairly accurate across styles.

took delivery of my narrow fit navy selvedge jeans yesterday and so far so good. The fabric is nice as well as the hardware, leather patch and fit. They're a bit starchy just like my shadow selvedge but I plan on giving these a cold soak before sending them off to be hemmed. Overall for $100 my initial impressions are that these are for what I paid.

Further reductions on USDG denim from Roden Gray. Still some sizes left, nerds. Check BOW's fit guide if you're not sure about sizing

Nabbed a pair of the gray selvedge for $65, so 60% off if I don't count postage. If I had waited I could've nabbed the navy IxI for $30 cheaper, but I was afraid they'd sell out

Got my gray selvedge yesterday. Looks like it was a pair somebody must've returned because it's missing the tags. Not that it matters. They're still new and only cost $65

A quick review of the United Stock Dry Goods "Navy" (Indigo/Indigo Bright ID) denim offering. Currently the Indigo/Indigo Bright ID, the Black/Black and the Gray are on sale for $75 US (with shipping from Canada $100) here.Fit: - I opted for the Slight Fit. It's very comparable to the Gustin slim straight fit, namely any of the densely woven denim. I had a challenge (as mentioned before) on the sizing options. USDG doesn't have a size chart on their site. Brilliant. However, by searching out the goods and reading this thread, I determined a few options that have the fit guide available - for example, the Blue Owl Workshop has the fit guides. Interestingly enough, when I brought this to the attention of the USDG, Stephanie at USDG replied with confirmation of my sizing (I shared the size chart from Blue Owl) and she also referenced that the sizing may be a little different between the denims as they are different denims. That's actually a smart detail. So I explained to her what I was looking for and my sizing specs (rise, leg opening, etc.) and she confirmed my fit. I went with the 32 slight fit (very comparable to the Gustin 33 slim). - Long. They don't kid with length being 34-35" on the inseam. I'm not. So I opted for a cold and hot soak. Maybe lost an inch or so on the inseam. Doing the full roll on the cuff until I send them to AB Fits. Fade: - These are projecting to be inky bleeders from what I'm reading, but I didn't get the smurf murder in my tub nor did I get blue fingers from two days of wear and operating the button-fly. Comparing to my Gustin Italian Indigo/Indigo, I think those are inking out more at this point. Nevertheless, more wears = more wear. Details:- Very nondescript details. The ID is only seen when cuffed. The buttons and rivets are silver and the stitching is tonal. The pocket bags are white and the leather patch is a solid stamped black patch. No custom back pockets or anything. Again, less is more in that case. Weight:- A very light 14 oz. denim. I actually suspected more of an 11 or 12 oz based on feel, but they do have a slight density that does make it feel like my G 14 oz. black/black. Overall:- I would refer these. I was considering the Gray as a follow-up purchase, but the more I look at these, they look very similar to the G Graphites (13.5 oz) which are Kiahara Mills, however, the ID is a little thicker on the USDG. It may be an alternative if I want something with less white weft poking through. Back on track, a great option for a nice indigo/indigo nondescript pair with a pop in the ID.
