I normally have a browser tab open on Gustin community at all time. Today, I only went there for 5 minutes and left. So, do you see the same impact of this forum vs. Gustin community?

it's quieted there exponentially since this place was established.

Old26 and I were discussing that as well. Two things can happen - it's an opportunity for the next wave of Gustinites to step up in the community, or maybe the traffic slowing down over there will bring more awareness to concerns or items that have been vocalized by many.
Or we'll all flock back over there when they up their game to compete with the up and coming brands...
Truthfully, I think the change will only be noticeable on their end if the mainstays (most of whom are in here) slow or stop backing Gustin altogether. I don't see that really happening. I do like my Gustins and I'm sure I'll really like my LDs but I only need so many jeans and I'm purposefully picking and choosing my new denims carefully to create an eclectic collection (14 and counting)...I think Ickes it up over 20 (need to confirm) - while a lot of us view this as a collection, the point of diminishing returns is inevitable unless some newbies start buying in.

It's also Monday. Noticed less traffic that day unless G drops an IG tease about a Tuesday release. Nothing that I've seen there either.

If they are slower I don't know if it has anything to do with us. It seems to be vary as to how busy they are based on new releases and sometimes how much the posters have been drinking. If it does slow down maybe it will free Gustin from having to watch so many posts. More time to make cool products. We don't want to have any negative inpact on any brands or take way from what they have established. I will say that Cody from Gustin has just said he would come on for an interview/chat. We are very thankful for him to take the time. Will keep everyone posted on a day and time.

I have to agree with everything mentioned. When I go to Gustin's site, what I see anymore seem to be newbies asking newbie questions about what size to get, no tag on this, will the color change when I wash it, etc. What I see here is a more seasoned crowd, with better input, more diversification, more knowledge, etc. We will probably see a migration of more knowledge here as time goes on.

I like that Cody is going to contribute here - it's a great opportunity for the "focus group" to provide praise, ask questions, or get a greater sense of some of the things that Gustin is working on.
Thanks for making that happen Winterland.

I've noticed the G community has slowed down since we've migrated and I do believe it is a direct result of that. I don't believe it's disrespecting G in anyway and it won't concern them much honestly unless sales start to be affected. Sure they enjoy having us and they enjoy the culture we've created there, but as long as we didn't migrate here to bash G 24/7 I think they will be fine with it and hopefully they will stop by to visit us frequently.
I will continue to support G and will continue to order products, but I haven't been spending as much time there as I used to and I probably won't. It has nothing to do with disrespecting G AT ALL, it's simply the fact that I'm only one person and there is only so much time in the day so my time will now be split.

I think it's interesting what a profound effect one post by Cody had on this group.
The migration likely would have happened sooner or later, but change happened relatively quickly as a result of it.

The migration likely would have happened sooner or later, but change happened relatively quickly as a result of it. the talk of LD did explode over the course of a few days. everyone discussing their shirt customization options along with the impending site launch and $69/$79 price points had everyone in a fervor. i don't blame them for asking to keep competitor talk to a minimum, as at times there were more posts about LD product than G product.

yeah it was only a matter of time and I thought we actually did really good overall regarding keeping the Lawless talk to a minimum, considering the Lawless kickstarter started in June.

I think G did exactly what he needed to. Just like if you talk about boots all day in a food forum the mods will eventually tell you to get back on track. G's site lacks true moderation the way some have stepped up here

Another option for Gustin would have been to create a sub-forum for us to talk about other brands. I felt that way they could stay in tune to the competition better than trying to keep up on other boards. Kind of like keeping your friends close, and your competition closer. Its all good.

But the best part is that this forum software is very versatile, and you san SEARCH and we can do polls, etc. The "stream of consciousness" format of the G-Unit Community page is great, but it's very limiting overall...

Just to be clear to all, we absolutely did not and will not come here to bash G-Unit or any respectable vendor. It was about respecting their space and being able to talk gear with cool brahs. DenimBrahs if you will.

Hopefully we will find a good balance between anarchy and Mr Randal. For those who missed the whole Mr Randal debacle we will just say a forum was run very uptightly if that is a word.

One reason I think for the slow down is we've post just about everything there is to be posted on a Gustin jean. Chinos are missing, shirts have been around and discussed, wallets, fobs, WS are in waiting. Many discussions have been recycled. it is time for some newbies to breath life into the Gustin forum (but it may be discussions already done). The CPO will breath some life.

I know now why freedom of speech is so freaking important..... Loving this format. It is priceless to not worry about what denim brands that we want to talk about.

G forum is dead. No point anymore. Is Julian here too? Nothing really that useful on the community section. The price point creeping up release after release is slowly turning me away. Coupled with all the issues I've had. I think Cody had enough of me. Try used to really take care of me I felt then when I got sent the wrong pair of jeans it was like "eh not a big deal we will pay for shipping"
