Trying to be more conservative with my style budget, as I feel many of us are. It is so easy to overspend and buy something on a whim, damn plaid blazer I've never worn.
Basically I am making a list of item I want and hopefully if circumstances allow I will purchase. I find making lists of things help me control spending and think about what I want so when the time comes to spend I can really think about it. List will be changing I'm sure but I'll start.
Feel free post what you been looking at, want to buy, wishing you could buy, etc.
Currently: Samurai 710's in 36 Iron heart 666-xhs in 36 Iron heart 666-19L in 36 Duck canvas chinos for more casual rugged pant to wear with denim tops. All white converse all stars. Winter parka probably alpha industries.
Edit:
Jcrew factory purple gingham shirt

For me, replacing all of my current AE dress shoes and boots with shell. I really want a pair of:
AE Strands in brown burnished shell AE Park Avenues in black shell AE Dundees in bourbon shell
Viberg Service Boots or Alden boots in CXL #8 shell

Upping to shell ain't cheap at all. The shell strands look amazing though. Plus they should last a life time with proper care.

I "need": - 1 pair mid-weight grey denim
- 1 pair IxI denim
- 2 brownish blazers, mid-weight for winter and lightweight for the other 9 months of the year
- 4-6 slimmer fitting sport shirts / casual button-downs
- 1 pair casual boots, probably either Alden or OSB
That would fill in all my existing denim-related wardrobe gaps. I should be able to work my way through that by the end of the year if I can maintain discipline vis a vis discretionary spending on the "want" list. The want list is mostly unusual indigo denim that I have absolutely no need for. But it's just plain cool and would be a hell of a lot of fun to have if and when I am in a position to really spoil myself. Oni has a couple things on the list. And then there's this one from Fullcount that I saw the other day: 13.75-oz Zim cotton. Unf.

Brown tweed harris of course Khaki chino or a brown linen cotton blend would be my choice.
I need to update mine. Looking for a new blazer
Navy unconstructed chino for summer. Muscles are bulging through my old one.

Whites semi dress - Still deciding on options except Vibram sole of some sort New brogues - shopping brands now, my old ones are not worth mentioning Two Kent Wang grenadine ties Two waistcoats that aren't silk back ala 3 piece suit or IH rugged. Stevenson Overall Company is a good start. Maybe have my tailor make something. Dude is amazing but I haven't taken a hit from the bespoke crack pipe yet. Scared of addiction. Give "Propercloth.com" a try for a custom dress shirt. Curious. 1-2 pair Ciano Farmer canvas pants of some sort New motorcycle pants *Subcategory "Fixing shit I already have" - Take two good sportcoats purchased on sale last fall my tailor for fitting Numerous denim to Railcar for hemming. Buying any jeans in 2015 will require a kick ass price and/or something amazing. Last new denim - Oni 527 low tension. Nothing has really caught my eye in a while. Just wearing, fading and working on biz related things. i've got enough workwear to get a lot of friggin work done

Dang it, @stevekas. You made me realize I forgot canvas pants and ties on my list. What draws you to Kent Wang specifically? I keep drooling over the stuff General Knot & Co is putting out...and I keep failing to pull out the shirts that I'd wear a tie with and try to match up some decent combos. Particularly when they have a sale on from time to time.

Mattbert, I like General Knot, don't have any stuff yet though. I do like what I've seen. As for Kent Wang, it's really just a case of wanting a couple of nice grenadine ties and there is a decent selection on offer. I'm sure there are other equal or better options, that's just the one I settled on the last time I looked around. And I forgot about canvas pants too until all these nice LD and Ciano pants started showing up. Like I need another category to worry about. Bastards. Actually, what really spurred this on: I'm breaking in a FlatHead denim western shirt and I'm still freaked out about the Canadian Tux effect. I've done it but man, sometimes, it just feels wrong. So, canvas pants! There are a million brands to choose from but for the price/quality break, the Ciano stuff in particular looks really nice. I'm on hold right now and not buying anyhting, so just watching from the sidelines....

Pretty sure I found the style of winter jacket I want now the n-1 looks awesome. I had a B3 bomber jacket very very warm but can not handle snow or rain. Really limited use.
I was looking at the alpha n-3b parka but I think these deck jackets are more stylish. Problem is $750 for an IH JACKET IS INSANE. Real sherling is awesome.

The Pike Brothers n-1 gets good marks (don't own one) at least 150 less than IH.

They are built more square - I'm a 48" chest, 40" waist (actual numbers). I have the Pike Bros XL. It would be perfect for someone a little smaller than me. It's OK for me, but not perfect. XXL woulda been too big I think, but no way to know as it came from Germany - no shops here to try them on.

Next time I'm in SoCal, let's meet at a Starbucks so I can try yours on. You dig?

Hey guys let me know when you meet up at Starbucks. I'll meet up with you guys because I'd like to test drive one of your cars. I'm in the market for a new vehicle and I thought it'd be cool if I could just take a little cruise in one of your cars to get a feel for it, see if it fits you know. I'll even give you guys five bucks or something for the coffee.
