HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!! Merry Christmas! This has been a great last few months for sure. I happened to stumble onto the G site to find some jeans I can age and fade to shit but ended up finding a bunch of beat to shit aged denim addicts instead. I have the inlaws sleeping over so I will be enjoying my wife's father sitting on my couch in his 1920's undergarments. He gives me dirty looks because I wash dishes and do things he believes only my wife should be doing. He basically thinks i'm a panty wearer I wish you all a healthy & safe holiday. I will be available on XMAS if anyone needs me.

Sal - for fun, ask him to help you with the dishes I swear he has never done anything to help his wife in his entire life. He would never do anything that would take away from his manhood lol. The 1st time I met my wifes parents was when they came over the apartment I was living in 7 yrs ago. My wife would spend a few days with me so naturally they wanted to meet me and see where their daughter was going. This was maybe 4 or 5 months into us dating. He came in and saw me washing my own dishes, remember it was my apartment and the very 1st time he ever met me. He started yelling in Hungarian at my wife who was my girlfriend at the time. She started to tear up because he was yelling at her saying "WHY ARE YOU NOT WASHING THE DISHES FOR HIM, THIS IS WHY HE WILL LEAVE YOU" He was amazingly upset that I felt so uncomfortable the whole night. It had nothing to do with him not liking me but was totally him actually liking me so much that he wanted his daughter to take care of me. Talk about instant jackpot. I said to myself this could be good because now this girl feels like she better get her shit together and take care of me. That never happened of course and so I now have a father in law that thinks I should be keeping my wife, his daughter in check CLASSIC SHIT MAN What he will do, Make coffee, change the oil on a car, hammer some nails and constantly ask me if I want a beer. This is another thing he doesn't understand. I tell him I do not drink and he thinks I am just saying I do not want a drink at this second. Maybe an hour later " Sal, U want Drrrink" with the r's rolling off his tongue LOL He doesn't get that I do not drink ever so I get asked every time I see him every few hours

Ah yes. The ways of the old country! You gotta laugh at this stuff!
Enjoy the holidays. I'm at the in-laws for 5 days and she read about a book a day. That's how I cope with it.

I enjoyed the traditional Christmas Eve ritual of grilling steaks in the middle of a thunderstorm, while wearing shorts and flip-flops because it was well over 70F with eleventy f!@king thousand percent humiditah.
Okay, that was highly unusual even by Florida standards. I suppose that will probably be met with a resounding shrug of the shoulders from my colonial brothers in the southern hemisphere, but for realz...wtf? At any rate, a most joyful and prosperous Crimbustime to all you beautiful people. Cheers!

As Ringo would say, peace and love, peace and love!
Celebrating my first Christmas with our 18 month old daughter tomorrow. (Last year really didn't count since she couldn't walk or talk.)
Having this forum as well as the Gustin one over the past year and a half has helped me survive this new journey of parenthood in my 40's.
Thanks to the gents who run this joint.
Long live Selvedge & Style!
