yeckel i'm sure the last thing they want is for you to even glance in the direction of one of their bags again. i'm sure you were as much of a red flag to them as any question you could have asked (more than once). i'm guessing they have a photo of you posted in the office like grocery stores that have photos of people who have bounced checks. That, and a little good old fashioned censorship.

But you have to admit that Yeckel has a massive amount of the "I don't give a shit". He's made me laugh many times. I do think G has a poster up with his pic in their office and it's not "customer of the month" photo

Well, you did ask if Horween chromexcel leather is full grain. Either way, you have to admit that you helped fuel some bad blood over at Gustin, so bringing it over here isn't likely to help matters. If you'd like to learn more about Horween chromexcel leather: Horween Leathers

If you'd like to learn more about Horween chromexcel leather: Horween LeathersOk i am confused, why would i know that is horween? How do you....? Fuel bad blood? what do you mean by that? What is the bad blood you speak of? I only have issue with the product execution and the executive *if you can call it that* decisions to not come out with formal policies for transactions. Term & conditions of sale that might include tolerances with-in fit chart, accoutrement details for each product down to a button count, known production flaws to look out for, and return/exchange. This would then allow the customer service team to execute with-in set bounds and satisfy customers to a that known set of policies. Currently your best bet to all this is the FAQ. If any "bad blood" it is just with me. As even a simple question on instagram to assure me that they are using top end materials, and to my knowledge would show off to instagramers they are taking leather serious and doing it right to compete with the market place like tanner goods. They delete it twice and then answer it afterwards, just goes to show plenty of ways to skin a cat. Seriously how was i to know and still to this day that the bag is horween?

Seriously how was i to know and still to this day that the bag is horween? Really not trying to fight you, but it's the title of the instagram post. Now, if you didn't know what Horween is, that's a different situation, and I apologize, and agree that maybe Gustin could have clarified that it is full grain leather, and even tell you about their leather sources.

But i will give it to my dumb ass there i missed that. I still think deleting the post vs pointing out the obvious to me would have been better. Shit i would have even like a "it is in the name" reference.

Shit i would have even like a "it is in the name" reference. The rest of what I was referring to was your very vocal and sometimes less than constructive criticism of Gustin on their own form (the bad blood) and then not letting it go over here (fueling). I've been less than courteous to Gustin on this forum, and like some others here, I regret that a bit because I try to hold myself to a higher standard than that. I'm making a conscious effort to be less harsh in criticism because that isn't the sort of energy we really seem to want around here. So I was holding your history I've seen against you, because it has begun to feel like empty vitriol. However, I say we digitally shake hands and let it all go here, and i hope that you agree. We have some cool stuff starting with this community here, and -- even though I hold no authority to -- I think I speak for others when I say we want to avoid this being a hostile environment for anyone, whether consumer or producer, because this place exists due to the open hostility of other places out here on the Internet. Everybody else, I'm sorry if im wrong in speaking to the general sentiments of the forum. If I'm out of line, PM me and I'll stop.

Everyone doesn't have to agree with each other here but we should all be respectful and try to get along. If there is some working out of past issues here that results in something positive we are all for it. At the same time no one wants to watch a soap opera.
There is enough hostility in the world. Having a forum free of that is a great goal to reach for. It should attract like minded people. Thanks everyone for keeping an eye on the place and the self moderation, it will help make this a better community.

I like the Sky Blue but know I'd wear the darker one more often if I had both. I think with the way chambray seems to fade, though, I think on the sky the little flower patterns are gonna become a lot more subtle over time which I also like the idea of. Be even better if I could get it without the button-down collar.

i just don't get it.
i've lost some weight and have switched my orders from 36 down to 34 so they stretch to a 34.5-35.
i received the Super Heavies and Supple 16s yesterday in a 36 (i wasn't able to change these up as they were locked). just tried them both on and they're a tight fit. i measured to see what they sewed up at...the S16s were dead on at 34 and the SHs were just shy of 34.
what.
the.
f!@k.
they're going to work for me so i'm thankful they sewed up TWO SIZES TOO SMALL but what about the rest of the orders i have in for 34s?

Waist sizes need to be measured in gustimeters. They're slightly longer or shorter than inches.

bugula - I said it over on the G-Comm, but be sure you send that in to support, let them know they've come in tiny, but it happened to work out for you, so that if it happens on your 34s, you can refer back to it -- and if your new stuff comes in unwearable perhaps use it to insist on a refund over store credit, if that's where you decide to go with it. It sounds like you've got a couple closets full of clothes on the way from all the stuff you've reported ordering from the entire internet, so unless you had a wee man hiding inside of you, getting down to a 32 sounds unlikely, and unwise if everything is sized to your new-found 34" waist (congratulations on the weight loss, by the way). The main goal, of course, is to ensure they're aware of the sizing issue, since you're not going to be sending them back. Also, just because you are fairly new to this, ensure you're following the picture guide on the Gustin fit guide, and pulling them taught against whatever you're measuring with. It is a little awkward but that bow across the front can cause a major difference in the way they measure if you're not pulling it straight. None of that matters to you if none of it fits you, but it's important to figure that out, especially if you've still got orders that you can change the size on over at Gustin.

I think people needs to stop beating the dead horse. Cody said it many times the last 6-9 months that G has no sizing issue. He said that one last time from the Q&A session here again. Just get the credit or refund and move on. Don't waste the time or energy to try to make a case. Why want to set people up for disappointment. Btw, I have a total screw up G work shirt and I don't even want to waste my time and energy with G. I just put it in the washer and dryer and took a loss of it. Learn it lomg time ago that I would just move on to things that I don't want to deal with anymore. No need to look back.

I'm just suggesting he let them know, because he has a bunch of stuff coming. I went the next step and actually recommended he confirm that he's measuring right, since I think these are his first deliveries, and he should verify that he is sizing correctly, especially since he seems to have gotten lucky this time. Simple as that. Not meant to be an apology, not meant to ruffle the feathers of those who have had bad experiences. Just doing my best to keep it positive and constructive.

My 36 slim SH came in perfect. One of my favorites.
I have noticed different measurements if I just lay flat vs stretched.

@wils; I disagree. I think sizing issues regarding Gustin should continue to be discussed and communicated to Gustin and to the members of this forum. It's not a matter of "Gustin bashing" or beating a dead horse imo, it's a matter of educating us (the consumer) on the status of their sizing issues. All the feedback we can get whether it's pairs sewn up to exact specs or pairs way out of whack will only help all of us make educated decisions regarding GUSTIN purchases which will only improve the chances of us saving money and time. I have a 200 dollar pair of 26oz GUSTIN jeans sitting in my closet that I cannot wear because of GUSTINs sizing issues. For the record, Cody was more than helpful to work with me on that issue and he sent me multiple pairs to try on in exchange and it was my decision to stick with the pair I have. However, if the waist wasn't sewn up 2.5" below spec they would fit perfectly.
My point being that I think it's only helpfull if GUSTIN measurements continue to be reported, good or bad. Right now I am not purchasing any more g jeans because of their sizing issues, but if pairs start to consistently come in within spec tolerances then my confidence in GUSTIN will be restored and I will purchase again.

Sorry but if G doesn't agree sizing is a problem after 6-9 months of us shouting and whinning about it on it's own forum, it makes no sense to still buy it and then complain about the size issue. People either buy the G items and if size is a problem, just accept it becasuse you should know that will/can happened when you hit that buy button. Or just don't buy it and move on. The worst is stuck in the middle. Know full well that there is a decent chance the size will be a problem. Then when the sizing is actually an issue, they get all work up about it. G doesn't put that person in a poor situation about the sizing, the person who hit the buy button did. End of the day, life is too short and move on and don't put yourself in unpleasant/ stressful situation. Take your own responsbility and take back the control.

G doesn't put that person in a poor situation about the sizing, the person who hit the buy button did. End of the day, life is too short and move on and don't put yourself in unpleasant/ stressful situation. Take your own responsbility and take back the control. And if no one tells Gustin that their orders are coming in wrong, then they have no reason to believe they're not. Either way, I'm not gonna tell bugula he's f!@ked, because I don't believe he is unless he's actually measured wrong -- in which case I'd like him to know. When given the opportunity to make it right, oftentimes Gustin has. The contract one "signs" with Gustin when they back it is that the product will be the size they ordered, so this should not be an inherent risk with buying from them, as it is in Gustin's side of the contract. Indicating that I, as a customer, should take responsibility for a poor or improperly sized garment is asinine. Every garment I've received since the Josh Gustin QC announcement has been on spec, so I have no reason to believe that it's not fixed, other than well, mostly your complaints, just like you apparently have no reason to believe it's fixed, other than my (and others) indications it has. I've never heard of Gustin refusing to accept a return for something that came in off-spec, however I have heard of them refusing a refund. So to indicate that it's hopeless for bugula to keep track of it isn't productive, as you know, more than most, how important that information could be for him as the rest of his clothing is delivered. People are still complaining about the pocket bags in Gustin jeans (just read that on StyleForum today), when they've been 6-8oz white canvas since about June of this year (my cone blue x blacks had the old pocket bags, the black x aqua and everything since had the heavier ones). So I'm also not sure how many of the QC issues are people ordering stuff off ebay that was the product of the previous issues. Now, I wish that Gustin would say "hey, we changed those back in July, now we use 7oz canvas", but instead their attituce is to fix it and let the product speak for itself -- this is a product of not recognizing how public opinion shapes the reputation of a brand, but we obviously can't force them to learn that lesson, cause we tried and failed as a group to do that. My point here is this, if you've given up on the brand, that's fine, but that doesn't give you license to indicate anyone that hasn't is refusing to take responsibility as a consumer. If you've truly given up on them, then I don't understand why you care if other people haven't. By your same token, life is too short to continue harping on things you've given up on.
