bugula... Chinese denim with Chinese fabric that made in China? Ha... just teasing. I saw them on Taobao and they definitely look great. I know there is the whole anti-Chinese denim movement here but I really believe there are some very interesting Chinese fabrics out there.

yeah, i mean, the bulk of the clothes i buy are US made but thought what a few of the Chinese brands are doing is very interesting.
got them out of extreme curiosity and figured they'd be a bit of a novelty but again, was very surprised with what showed up at my door. will start getting them into some form of rotation this week (or just tomorrow since it's the only warm day we'll be having here).

Personally I do not care about where the fabric comes from as long as it is good. There are Chinese brands out there like Sauce who are making stuff with a determination to rid the "Made in China" means crap belief. We (lawless) come across Chinese fabrics sometimes that are made really well and have thought about bringing them to sale. In fact Chinese mills are always contacting us and saying we could make anything we want. There is a joke in the fabric industry that when you meet one of these Chinese mills and ask them "can you make me this" The answer will always be YES. They are willing to do anything so its definitely intriguing bugula how does the denim feel in comparison to some of your American & Japan denims?

bugula how does the denim feel in comparison to some of your American & Japan denims? honestly, it's not the greatest hand feel, Dirty_Denim. it feels as if it's been washed and left to dry and wrinkled up. this is probably due to its weight. i'm a japanese denim fan and it doesn't compare but let me give it a fairer comparison tomorrow after wearing them. it could just be me going from the 18oz-ers i've been wearing recently in the cold weather.

I do not want Chinese denim or chinese made jeans (and shirts, etc). Don't want a political battle, don't want people getting stupid. I'm just stating what I am interested in, and that's as much US made gear as possible.

If the Chinese can get a few people to step outside of that bad label I am sure they can turn out something good. I mean think about how much energy they put into copying stuff ..if they would take that effort and make something good , it will surely be worthy. All it takes is a few people to put something in play. On the opposite end, The early American Denim brands did this same thing. A few people put this "Made in America" thing in play when nobody else wanted to do it because it was to expensive. I mean it started out expensive for us but eventually Gustin and now Lawless are proving you can get a well made item for a good price.

For me personally, it's about the treatment of the workers. If you could be sure the company is treating them like humans and paying them a good wage then I'd consider Chinese denim

ok, so i was a little hard on SZ not having them in my hands. they're very comparable to the Supple16s in terms of feel and they're heavier than i gave them credit for...definitely the 14oz they marketed them as. these are pretty dark and it was hard for me to get a light enough shot of them on but you can at least get a feel for the cut below. and yes, the irony of an IH shirt topping these is not lost on me.

The fit looks good. Is it the lighting or is the jean color very dark? Btw, that is exactly how I like my work shirt the fit like. Very nice. What IH model is that? This is exactly what I want.

Hey @wils - it's both shitty lighting and dark indigo denim (these are the first pair above that I took photos of) - will see if I can sneak a lighter/better shot today in the bathroom at work. The shirt's the ihsh-13: www.ironheart.co.uk/shirting/ihsh-13.html

I hope there is some way I can hide this message from specific people since they are so ultra-sensitive. Anyway, I was hoping the G workshirt will fit like your Iron Heart shirt....

Thanks, the fit of both shirt and jeans are right on. Great work there... the jeans also give me a feel of Indigo x Indigo but should be even better with that blue weft. I think the fade will be awesome down the road. Btw, still love your shirt..

sizinggo by their size charts. i wear a 35 slim in G and went with 36 to be safe on my first order (the red/white/blue and blue wefts at the top). they fit fine but were a little loose in the waist so i rolled the dice and went down to a 34 with the latest three pairs and all fit snug in the waist and a little tight on the thighs but they'll be a good fit when i work them in. orderingtaobao

forgot to mention that there are two or three different fits/styles of their jeans. the 314XX is a slim/taper cut and the 315XX is a slightly less slim/taper cut. i'm wearing the brown wefts today and they're slightly more relaxed in the thigh but still have a flattering taper on the leg. there's also a 311XX but i haven't figured out what that one is yet.

it's roughly 1.5-2wks via proxy.
if you're interested in anything from SZ denim-wise, their specs were correct for the pairs i have.
