I dig the jacket, but I'm worried it might be even a little more baggy around the waist than the Gustin chore. Looks like the hem width is slightly larger than the chest width. The contrast stitching, double inside pockets and internal side adjustment are cool for sure. Agree. Sometimes, I feel like Ciano can use some of our feedback on the fit.

Agree. Sometimes, I feel like Ciano can use some of our feedback on the fit. I think it depends on who he wants to sell to. CF's fits might not even necessarily be for the 30+ BMI crowd as much as the traditional buyer of Carhartts crowd. Cleaning up the sizing to be true to size, adding a middle ground pants fit (903?) and making sure slim jackets are truly slim would be solid progress. CF's detailing is my current clear favorite out of Lawless/Gustin/CF and the potential is huge.

Put a light liner in that car coat, and I'm there. XL Slim fit looks like a winner for me, by the numbers anyway.
Love the orange and grey threads in the stitching on the brown coat. LOVE.

BMI is a dumb measurement It's a useful demographic tool across large swathes of people. If Houston has 30% of their population over 30 BMI and Durango has 10% it's going to be pretty obvious when looking at crowds in either city. When it comes to applying BMI to individuals there will be some athletes/weight lifters who could sport an "obese" BMI and look great. Coming back to CF fits, I wear slim pants and shirts in nearly every brand. We'll see how the CF slim looks on me.

I got a big butt.

I'm just hoping the third time's the charm for getting a pair of duck pants that fit. Then it will be time for the monster ducks (goose canvas?) in 30 oz.

The thought of being encased in 30oz jeans makes me feel claustrophobic and I don't even suffer from claustraphobia

Yeah, those are great. My Ciano jeans are out for delivery today. Duck canvas will be my next order after these jeans are figured out

As as addendum, I just purchased a Carhartt duck jacket (some of them are still USA made!) and I don't know why I did not do it sooner. Perfect for schelpping to the gym, shoveling snow, working/welding in my garage.
Definitely will be getting a pair of jeans/chinos in an 18oz

Me thinks a 18oz duck chino will be perfect for the motorcycle this spring. The 30oz bull denim might be a little ok heavy.

I'm going to ride in the 30oz for sure. Might have to break them in a bit first.

I'm going to ride in the 30oz for sure. Might have to break them in a bit first. Might as well have Ciano throw on a double front, and have the ultimate riding pants. Tough break in, but worth it in the end.

Yeah 30oz denim I'm a little hesitant for riding jeans. 18oz duck should do it.

I think ultimately you need some armor in anything 'motorcycle' though

I think ultimately you need some armor in anything 'motorcycle' though When I was riding a sport bike, I had leather gear, with full protective armour. I would ride much more agressively than I do today, and fortunately never had to test its merits. Now days, I am putting aound on a Touring bike, and my gear is leather, without armour. Its kind of a comfort tradeoff.
