I haven't look at the fit guides yet, are the chest measurements smaller than the previous versions? No they are the same(i think), I just think it looks on the pics like it could potentially be a problem still. I backed the ocean plaid in the same size I use in the old style. I will back the rugged when it comes in a fabric I like.

Two pockets are back, and free of dick curtains?! Wow. Will have to try one when a good material drops.

Nevermind, found the fit guide for the shirts. Chest is on the borderline too tight side for me as well on an XL but still might work for a slim/tailored fit. Worth giving a shot I think once I see a fabric I like.

Looks to be the same shoulder width. Seem weird that they would just take an inch out of the chest, but maybe lots of folks complained they were to big in the chest. Sheese people, do a few pushups, or flys, or maybe hit the bench once in a while.

Hmm. Now im confused. Maybe they now reflect what they actually measure at? L and XL looks the same to me but could be what I remember they actually measure. I know L was smaller irl then the specs so on the xxl it could be a full inch.

Wait, they actually made the chest tighter? It seems like they have removed the sizing for the classic medium (that's what I was) and I can only see the new sizes. My man boobs were already a pain with the classic medium. If they have made the chest tighter I can already see myself shipping these back for store credit =(
I don't get how the chest is so damn tight on their shirts and someone requested tighter??

Looking at the fit guide this seems like a step backwards.
18.5 for a slim medium is big in the shoulders imo. 42.5 is too small in the chest. 30.5 is too long for untucked.
Honestly for a medium 43" chest, 18" shoulder, 29.5 cb length, 34" sleeve length.

Just in case anyone has forgotten Gustin does measure their chest an inch down as opposed to pit to pit. Maybe it doesn't make a huge difference but it makes a difference.

You know what would be a cool idea. If they made multiple sizes of some super cheap fabric shirt that they could send you with one of your orders. That way I could try on all sizes and be sure, then send the try ons back. I would pay a little extra on one of my orders to get that. If the new medium doesn't fit me, I'm pretty much out of luck and unable to order from them anymore, and I have yet to find better fitting button downs from anyplace else.

They say on Instagram that its a cross between the classic and slim. So then it is correct that it is indeed slimmer then the classic. They also took away the tall since with the lesser scoops these are .... taller.

Great, another shirting option gone for me most likely.
I just sent shirts back for being too small and off spec.
A 48.5 is gonna come in at 47.5 or shrink to that which will be way too small.
Thanks morons.
I guess I should genuinely thank them for doing me the favor of not having to deal with them anymore on shirt BS.

Wellll. I backed two of them in hopes that they aren't too tight. I find it really weird they completely eliminated all other sizing and I have a bad feeling they are going to regret that decision and end up with a ton of returns. The classic medium fit just fit me right, anything smaller in the chest and I literally won't be able to order from them at all anymore. Would have made more sense to keep the old sizes in place too. Also surprised they didn't hype up the end of the old shirt sizes to try to drum up more business from people that really liked those sizes.

People liked their old shirts?! Hah! Yeah, when they were on spec. But I'm seriously getting tired of the too tight chest, pit pinching BS. Some freedom of movement while being more trim is entirely possible. See MiC J**EW. I hate buying shirts!!! Back in the day I used to bargain with the mens department at Di**ards to order my size then harass them to find out when the shipment arrived because inevitability they would only order 1 or 2 in my size and I'd always have to pay full retail. I'm sort of confused about the coming Amazon revolution with clothes where they will be rolling out cut to order items. I mean, then I wont have to worry about all this BS?

People liked their old shirts?! I don't know. They were OK. I have three. Not as good as TS or Ratio. If I could change three things about the shirts I have they would be: 1) about 1 inch more in the chest (I have XL slim) 2) A slightly lower second button (the one below the collar button) 3) Maybe an inch or so longer. Sounds like the changes address my problems for the most part. That being said, for the one or two shirts I'll buy a year from now on, I'll probably just stick to Ratio, unless I'm doing some kind of work shirt/shacket thing. Especially now that TS seems to be making the full move to China for shirt production.

These actually make me interested in checking their drops again. Especially the two pockets. Their old shirts were a tragedy and easy to ignore. I probably still won't trust them with patterns, but a good, single color will get a try in the near future.
As stated, with TS smoking the proverbial pole, this is a nice alternative for casual shirting. Ratio remains wildly better for office shirts, but that's nothing new.

People liked their old shirts?! Yeah their shirts fit me the best out of any place I tried. The key to getting nice shirts from them is to only buy shirts they show pictures of the model wearing. Any time I buy based on the swatch I end up not liking how it looks and sending it back.

i'm definitely glad to see the change up in the shirt cuts...improvements all around (stylistically...haven't looked at the fit guide yet...though they did 'say' there was more room in the shoulders for any given size). i'll keep an eye out as TS's last preview was almost entirely MiC...so not likely to be picking anything up from them in the near future (i'll still get their MiUSA, MiP stuff as it appears).

I thought there appeared to be more room in the shoulders on these new shirts as well.
