I just received a workshirt from another brand using the Pendleton San Juan Blue that Roman introduced last week - it's a beautiful fabric. Not as soft as I was expecting but it's a good weight. Not soft as in like a traditional flannel? Or stiff like a canvas? Or somewhere inbetween? Pics would be nice, if your up to it. Or what brand you got. Think this may make a nice fall yard work shirt for me. It's wool, so it feels and is stiffer. I have a Pendelton Blackwatch shirt and you can definitely tell it is not a flannel.

Yep - it's the wool vs. flannel feel. Stiffer and more rough/scratchy to touch. Can take pics of it this weekend - it's from Flint & Tinder.

Anyone know if LD/Roman has given any details on the buttons for the WS? Mostly the Size.

So has it been covered how the sleeves are measured?
Is it from shoulder seem to end of cuff or from midle back to end of cuff? They measure extremely long for me, longer then any other shirt I have, also longer then the ones that are too long.

sorry, DigDug - went away this weekend and forgot to get you some shots of the F&T Pendleton shirt. Not sure if these are representative of it, let me know if you're looking for something more...

Nice looking shirt. Like your shots better then F&T's. Thanks! I don't own a wool shirt WS, so I'm not sure if I'd rather wool or Flannel.....some big Decisions to make.

I want to order a shirt but the site never got finished and now the h-bone material is gone. This is unreal. I was waiting!! Unfair! However, would be nice to dial this in. So. How to measure? Can I measure a good fitting shirt and aply those numbers in the comments? So. How.To. Measure?

Just saw the work shirt photos of bclark on G's community and I think the fit looks bad. Too long and very blousy. I hope it is the angle or I am going to take a lost on those two upcoming work shirts. Btw, I ordered regular medium and @bclack is slim medium. I am 2 inches shorter and only 4 lbs lighter than him.... shoot. I hope I am over-reacting but the fit of the shirt looks exactly like what I was worrying about when I first ordered them.

Yea, I though the shirt looked big on him, but nothing a warm/hot soak probably wouldn't fix. Shouldn't it fit you if it comes in per spec? My HB should fit me well if they make it the diminsions I ordered.

They made it the way you would a dress shirt so it could be tucked in. Gonna have to hot wash mine to get some shrinkage out of it as I think I likely went 1 sz to high & should have went XL. The length is the only thing that went wrong with it because everything else looks good

Don't know but concern. I got one Gustin oxford shirt after my order of the two workshirts and the oxford shirt fit is horrible (at least to my body shape). Tight on my chest and loose on my waist.

Fingers crossed the PHB comes in smaller than spec

I agree about the IXI. But I also think the material looks really good and it looks like it will shrink as hell! So might be really good fit after wash, just like a pair of raw jeans.

roman, Dirty_Denim; is it possible to combine two different WS cuts when ordering a Lawless WS? In other words, I love everything about the Oregon WS but I would prefer both pockets to have a flap instead of just one. So could I order the Oregon WS but put a flap on the second pocket so it would basically have the pockets of the Arlington?

Not sure where to ask this, but since LD is getting more traffic I'll ask here. Im in the XL size according to the size guides (LD,Gustin,TS, etc). All these have a range of 44-48" chest measurement. But most come with a 17" neck. I have a 16" Am I a pin head (made that easy for you to comment on Is that what many of you measure in at? Or are WS necks made larger on purpose for layering?

Well, given a work shirt i.e. less likely to get buttoned all the way up, I'd not worry about the neck so much. OTOH, if you're one of those guys that does button them all the way up - I know some - then you'll need to maybe go more customized. The only shirts I care about neck size are dress shirts. Fit guides are a PITA. On the one hand, they should be easy to interpret. On the other - what does someone's size guide mean? Are they stating the actual size of a finished product or the size of the wearer? I always ask this of a new maker (new to me) before I buy. Then, get your favorite <fill in the blank> item. Measure it, then write those numbers down. Use it as your guide until it no longer fits you. It will go a long way towards getting satisfaction. But you need to ask the maker what their size guide means. Once you get past the "off the rack" method of buying, it's tougher, but more satisfying when you get it right.

I am one to button up (gives me a snug fuzzy feeling inside Seems that my lighter shirts (older flannels, chambray, dress shirts) fit fine and have a 16". But the heavier stuff has 17" neck. Have you had collars tailored? How do they come out?

A tailored neck or enture shirt? I've had custom dress shirts made, but not an altered collar. That would be pretty hard to pull off. Just get a shirt that fits how you want it and get more like it.

Really want a customized Lawless WS in a G type fabric like the Hickory Stripe WS for instance. I think I'm not the only one that would like to see LD get into Japanese selvedge twills! Let us know when they're coming Roman -- I'm sure there will be plenty of orders if you can source a rich fabric like that! From what I can tell a lot of guys are stoked on the custom fit of the LD shirts, but the truth is that denim shirts are more restrictive in terms of where and when you might want to wear than a nice twill. My 2c.
