were those from the giveaway here? if so.......grumble. i want my LD! I believe so. I haven't ordered anything from Lawless because I was waiting on these to show up so I could see what the fit is like. However, with the blistering sales that appear to have resulted from the 50% off thing, I'm starting to think I should just jump on a couple more items before the fabrics I want are gone. Anyway, I'm impressed that Lawless has sent me this pair on the house. My only contact with them about it was an email to Roman the night he made the offer here, and basically all I said was "here are my measurements, surprise me on the denim and details". I left it at that and, by design, did not follow up further because I kinda wanted to see how good their tracking process was. Apparently, it's quite good indeed. They probably are not making your new order for awhile. I would just place the orders now with your best guess sizes and then change them when you know for sure.

What do you mean use the notes? I'm not sure if my girlfriend is an XS or S. I don't have her measurements, but she's 5'4" 115 lbs, wears XS in everything, but I'm afraid it might be too tight. I'd hate to order both and return one. Is that a viable option? Women size is a lot more tricky than men especially for bottom. My wife is 5'4" 100lbs and she wears 4 on some brands and 6 for others. I think you need real measurement to be sure. I understand that to be very true. It's just that LD doesn't have a women's fit guide for jackets on their website. So I'm wondering what he meant by use the notes.

My strategy was formulated based on the expectation that Lawless would keep on puttering along as it was for a while, not WORLD DOMINATION in six weeks.

( )Dirty or Roman, stoked on the new site. Question: Will that 18.5 Kuroki fade well? It looks sorta sweatpant like, so may not crease up nice for good fades? Thanks!! I'm interested in the answer to this as well . . . I think this is the denim that roman wears in a lot of the shirt product shots. I'd love to know if it is soft or crispy, as I'm trying to decide on the 18.5 vs. 14.

Very soft out of the box but don't know about the fade yet since it is still very new.

Hey Dirty_Denim, sorry to bug the shit out of you, but can you verify that the front and back denim pix of the 14 oz. Kaihara Indigo Selvedge are correct? The front pic seems to have a white weft, but the back pic is definitely indigo/black.

Matt, have you gotten them, or just get a shipping notice? I also sent him an e-mail that night, but it got kicked back. The next morning, I sen't him a note about what had happened, and included my address, and waist and inseam, and he said "you got it". I'm hoping I'll really get in on this.

I think he meant to just order it for now with your GF's measurement in the note. Frankly, they probably don't get to your order in awhile and you probably can change the size from the order later.

I think if you got that sort of unofficial confirmation from Roman, then you should be in.

Just got this from Roman: It will not fade like a crispy denim would. It is a loose weave denim.

I'm not sure if it has been confirmed, but that 18.5 looks like it could be the same denim as in the Gustin Super Heavy. If not, it is a close clone because of the open weave. My Super Heavy's have fading too them, but it is different than a close weave dark indigo.

Frankly for the price, I will definitely go for one if you don't have anything in that weight. I paid $120 for my 20oz from a different KS company. Gustin is selling the same thing for $120. From what I heard, the fabric itself is pretty pricey.

Regarding the 18.5's - Roman and I discussed in the shop - I got to feel the denim and asked why it's so soft (really soft), and as he stated above, it's the weave being looser (also why it's much brighter in pics). Roman's been wearing his somewhat regularly (from his communication) and while they won't fade super-fast, they did look like they were breaking in nicely.
I guess if you want stiff and starchy, the alternative is to do a liquid starch soak.

They probably are not making your new order for awhile. I would just place the orders now with your best guess sizes and then change them when you know for sure. That's the way I'm leaning. My strategy was formulated based on the expectation that Lawless would keep on puttering along as it was for a while, not WORLD DOMINATION in six weeks. I am saying this to assure people get the fabrics they want and then also get in line with their orders. If you arent sure & decide to wait you risk the sale ending as well as the fabric selling out. So that is why you can choose what you believe & change it later. Now I am not telling people to just order blindly but use the closest sizes and adjust where is needed. I have confirmed with Roman that we are in fact a custom shop and will allow custom things to be requested especially with the hiccups

Any info on how the orders are processed?
Is it Kickstarter 1 though <how ever many> then site orders Or are the fabrics batch cut?
Does making a change to your measurement reset your place in the queue?
Are fabrics removed from the site when it's all been ordered <not sewn> up?

I dont really like open weave and prefer tight weave. This is something that makes the Okayamas so nice, they are tight. But since there isnt anything on the site heavier and 18 is substantial, and the low price ....and 50% off...its a steal. Even if it dont fade like crispier denims, they will be perfect for winter and this is why I got them. Im at the place where I dont want to wear my 21oz IronHearts so much because after 15months before wash - they are almost at the end of their life.
Also open weave is very comfy so perfect to play in the snow and stuff.

Do not worry. I am telling people to use the notes which I am sure may make you a bit uneasy but its the best way to assure you get a fabric before it goes out. If you wait till things are fixed it may sell out because someone else will use it for something that does have measurements. I want everyone to get what they want & how they want it. So please do not wait because its busy & stuff is going (not a sales pitch either, its selling out fast) What do you mean use the notes? I'm not sure if my girlfriend is an XS or S. I don't have her measurements, but she's 5'4" 115 lbs, wears XS in everything, but I'm afraid it might be too tight. I'd hate to order both and return one. Is that a viable option? I am working on getting the jackets and shirts up now. I am aware of your personal request and will make sure you are taken care of regardless
