The silhouette isn't right though. Once I saw the Road Champs on Google images, I knew I needed some engineers. After more research, and stumbling upon Brian the Bootmaker, my mind was made up. Now here I am... Already contemplating my next pair (Black) for my birthday present this year

I don't have any other engineers, but I've seen plenty of Red Wings and the likes in shops... Incomparable.
"Vintage Engineer Boots" likes them enough that he just got a pair 2-3 months ago, and already has another pair being made. I think that says alot. He still hasn't released his official write-up telling his thoughts about them, as far as I know. Possibly waiting to get more wear on them first.

So there was a mix up at the MF brick and mortar... When I ordered my Gunslinger Pantaloons, the transaction completed, but somehow the trousers were never sent out. No big deal to me, as I expected the holidays to cause huge shipping delays anyway.
Long story short, I contacted Cristian over at MF, and he sorted it all out and told me I'll have a freebie in my package. Can't decide what I'm more excited about now, lol!

Never have I ever seen water THIS blue after a denim soak! And, I literally only soaked for about 10mins, and maybe 1-2mins agitating the fabric. I planned more, but frankly I'm worried about the amount of indigo loss..... On to an air dry, possibly ended with a machine dry. Idk... Depends how much they appear to shrink

Cool little bag they sent me as a freebie for the mix up in shipping, but it lacks anything that would even remotely resemble a shoulder strap or a handle... Thing to make it a DIY project..... We'll see.

Yeah- pretty awesome. (also kind of makes you wonder how much it costs to make vs what they charge if they just give you this ... )

Well, we all know there is a mark-up... But, it's definitely not a cheaply made bag... Though, being free does give it more value to me, lol I just wish it had a carrying strap/handle.

Hot soak + air dry didn't shrink them enough...
Sprayed them down with a bottle of water, and currently they are in the dryer.....

Like you, it appears I've been bit hard by the engineer bug. You have a chance to try on any of those Red Wings, notably the 2268 or 2991? I've found many indirectly state MF Road Champs and John Lofgrens (also amazing:) are congruent with RW albeit a wider D. I wear a 10.5 US in most if not all RWs I have and tried on. Are the MFs that much nicer then the RWs? Thanks!

Vintage Engineer Boots for all your engineer boots reviews. I tried the Lofgren in person. I own the Lone Wolf. I *personally* like the Lone Wolf more but I see why people like the Lofgren. IMO if you're paying as much as the Lofgren are, get on the waitlist with Bryan and get the Role Club boots. the RW are more sturdy/work/motorcycle. the MF are more show

Vintage Engineer Boots says every engineer boot wearer needs a pair of Red Wings... I can't though. The bulbous toe is just not my style.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. Not a fan of RW's more pronounced bulbous toe on say their Beckman, however, the engineer abides...sort of. The Lofgrens' natural CXl are sick too and are at the top of my list with MF RC and Brian's. Don't think I could resist if SelfEdge was next door.

I was hipped to this new collection yesterday when I stopped by DenimBro. I'm a BIG fan of the long sleeve shirts and the yellow/burgundy jacket. I'll probably try to get all 3 shirts, and the jacket.

Or my man Yoshi makes a 'Craft Rite'. My White's Nomad (w brass buckles from Japan) Craft-Rite Engineer Boot If I was going to get another boot, this would be it.
