Every time I see the waxed trucker in green and brown I am tempted. How are they holding up? How do they compare to a barbour waxed canvas? Holding up well?

I'm curious myself, as I should have one coming to me soon. My assumption is that they've held up well, only because I've yet to read about QC complaints. Time will tell

I have the green one and have no complaints. The material seems quite thick and relatively stiff, and I'd be surprised if a Barbour is any thicker.

Mine is fine. Its stitched together well and the form is holding up and getting nice patina. But it does seem to have lost its water repellent ability. But I have used it crawling under the car and shit so. Its a little dirty but I actually love it. Will see if it ever get light enough to take some pics. We are entering the cave-season where the sun dont shine.

I like the green trucker might have to pull the trigger.

Hey, speaking of truckers, what is the consensus on sizing for those?
My favorite jacket, a Barbour Drover Sylkoil, is a "Large" 47" chest and it's juuuust a little large. But the Large Gustin trucker is 46". But the XL is 48 1/2", which seems like it might be way too big.
What is your experience, everypeoples?

I love my dark oak trucker, but it's like 2" too small in length. I forget if I sold it or not, but I've outgrown it from lifting and getting fat.

I like the shortness of a trucker. depends. Do you have a G shirt? I'm between a medium and large, and the medium trucker is too small. If you're spot on a large go with a large. Don't size down.

I like the shortness of a trucker. The recommendation is to go with your Gustin shirt size. That's what I did and it worked.

I went with my usual size. If I sized down it would've been too short, if I sized up the sleeves would've been too long.
What's your height/weight? I'm 5'11, 175 lbs and wear a large.

You could be borderline L/XL. The trucker is fitted, so on my frame it feels snug. The truckers are also notorious for having tight cuffs.
If I were you I would search the net and see what others wear that closely match your frame

Yeah I might go XL if I were you whiskeyriver. I actually think the fit of the Gustin truckers is pretty good. I like my black one I just never wear the damn thing which is why I'm selling it.

Thing is, I have a slimmish stomach (usually order M regular or L slim cut in most brands), but it's the damn broad shoulders that kill me. I have shoulders that are darn near 20" wide.

No, I have to go slim XL, and suffer some bagginess. Or, less-fittedness I should say. Gotcha...same here. Makes it tough to order Japanese anything as far as tops go. Their "XXL" is usually a little over 19" wide, which works, but too baggy in the stomach. SugarCane "Size 5" Twill and workshirts are the only thing I've found that work for me other than IH of course.

Just saw that some of the flannel-lined brown truckers hit the stock store. Anyone have one?

So something "wierd" happened with mine.
Since it was filthy I was thinking of washing it, even tho you shouldnt, but I kinda use it as I hate it anyways (I dont, but its a wear and tear jacket). It also looked to have lost most of the wax and had become kinda light. I came to my senses tho and just did a hot soak for 30mins. The tub got dirty so it was a goos idea.
So then I centrifuged it slightly to get rid of water, and then tumbled for just 5mins to get it hot and then I hung it in the drying room (wich is warm but not hot).
Today when I got it it was *darker* !! I almost couldnt believe it. It looks like the treatment brought out the wax and maybe the tumble warmed it and spread it evenly. Its insane but its wetter to the touch now and very dark. Sure there are some spots here and there that arent as dark, but it was like this before also.
It did shrink a little but not enough. It shrank too much in the armopening-straps and arms tho so I had to stretch these and it was kinda hard since the armopening-bands are very tough. It worked tho and is now perfect! But caution to those with large lower arms.
