This 195 is 6oz vs the 12oz UHF but even with its burlier brother I wouldn't have lasted long. Def needed a hat and gloves at a bare minimum and I switched to my IHW-13 wool m65 when back at the cabin. Dumping snow on Vashon Island right now--Heard Ravensdale has been getting pounded!?! |

I've been running pretty lean on the body fat end of things for the last few years, which is a good thing, but it makes a huge difference in how you regulate body heat. When it gets to about 30 and under for temps, I will pull out my sheepskin trooper hat, which is money!!!! Granted, it might not be a style for everyone, but at my age, I'm more interested in comfort. I've actually had people offer to buy it off me, as their freezing their tush off. I'm not too far from Ravensdale, but you know how it is around here, the accumulation can vary quite a bit. Still a couple inches on the ground here. Stay warm brother! |
