Wore my Mister Freedom Caban Peacoat out last night for a final wear since I'm heading back to hot-ass Okinawa tomorrow, and despite the fact that the sleeves are fully lined, I still got indigo frocking all over my thermal henley, lol! That's alot of indigo in this coat! That's a nice ass peacoat.

Someone literally offered to buy it off of my back last night. One of the only times I've been out and someone recognized and talked to me about my gear. Guy recognized every piece I was wearing, including the obscure Buzz Rickson Service Shoes. But apparently, Mister Freedom is rare and super expensive in Korea. He offered me, cash on hand, the equivalent of $700.

Shit! I think mine was sub-$600. Pro Tip: Mister Freedom Sugar Cane (MFSC) items are made in Japan by Sugar Cane, so you can find them on Rakuten for super cheap, like how IH is cheaper in Japan.

Just received my IHSH-96 today. Gambled and went with the Rakuten fit guide instead of the IHUK fit guide, and with this fabric it was just fine. The most unique shirt I've ever owned. Shirt: Iron Heart Pants: Iron Heart

Awesome texture to it. thank goodness it has a lot of give. Fits like a glove. If it was like a denim shirt, I'd have been screwed. There was one Large left (only know because it said sold out after I bought it) on Rakuten, and I gambled with the fit guide. Well worth it at 16,000 yen.

The Gustin fabric may actually be pretty close to this, I should be able to get some pics tomorrow or Sunday to compare -- but it looks like the scale of the pattern and indigo saturation is about the same, and from the gauzy feel and DigDug 's description of the IH, they're pretty darn close. It won't matter too much, though, because yours will never have a button down collar and will always win. I probably will track down some indigo thread to sew the collar button-holes closed. And maybe I'll find some more appropriate buttons when I start that search. It didn't look like rakuten shops ever sold this IH shirt in my size, so I'm not too bummed about it.

devastitis - the colour of that jacket is really nice If they didn't botch production on these task jackets, they'd have been one of the best jackets TS has ever made.

In Bored! Converse 70's Buzz Rickson HBT IH UH flannel Gustin Loomstate Nice pieces all around but I may wear them differently. No matter how hard I try, I think Converse is just not a good match with the more rugged IH gears.
