I just find that sort of thing to be pushy buy something in olive and so I don't do it. Thanks for checking in though!

Short answer yes to CXL and thank you for asking! Long answer, let me get a quote, get some ordered and I can give you an idea on cost. I'm branching out into other leathers as well as stitched belts with skin/hide inside linings. Awesome! Thanks. Are you thinking something like what others do with the CXL on the outer face and something less stretchy on the inner face with the two stitched together? Yes, precisely. A CXL face with a veg tan backing for example. CXL is super cool but it's a "pull up" leather and it loves to stretch and conform so as you mentioned, a good sturdy substrate (veg tan) is needed to keep things stable. Stitching is the way to here, as you mentioned. I think you're reading my mind.

This is exactly the next belt that I'll be looking for, well at least when I'm not looking for a one piece shell belt.

I might grab a belt in olive, actually I know I will grab a belt in olive maybe a card holder too, yeah definitely grabbing a cardholder too but I may need to think about it first errm nah I already thought about it ...so just give me a little bit and I'll get back to you forget all that noise, I just sent you a PM. It's not good to make impulse buys; much better to weigh all options f!@k it, life is short, get nice things well you can first.

I am cursing myself for getting the Alden Indys because now I really want a pair in black. They are just so comfy. So it'll be good to have a matching belt.

OK, so are we talking just CXL or CXL backed by something a little weightier?

CXL stitched to veg tan. Straight CXL being a pull up leather is so impregnated with ingredients from the processing that it can and will stretch excessively when used as a belt by itself. I'm guessing you know this and that's why you asked.
There may also be a premium option with a liner of some type of skin on the flesh side that sandwiches the veg tan. I need to get the numbers down becasue when you add premium leather, liners, stitching etc etc....the price goes up. I'll figure out the breakdowns and likely have several levels.
But no CXL only belts. Too stretchy.

I need a cool but still inside office style buckle. All my buckels look the same, oval or square, nickel or brass. Do you have any options for this cxl to make it really sweet....adamantium?

How do you make that? Put it in acid to corrode or do you need to find a piece of metal looking like that? And does it stand Rain and sweat?
I want one!

Well, DigDug has let the cat out of the bag in a way lol.....but yes I'm working on a copper buckle to go with not just the cxl belt but just to get some original buckles going. The styles are in sketch but i have some copper on hand so things are proceeding.... (DigDug your buckle is awesome btw!)

In a couple of weeks my son will be making a Wire bending jig. This one I used a torch and pliers. Plus I useing it right now to see how it works and treats the leather belt (so far it's working fine). The blueing is starting to wear off. So next time I'll have to spray it with some sort of lacker
