Weather is getting chilly, and I've misplaced my gloves from last year. It was a cheap pair of AE touchscreen gloves. Can anyone recommend one that will keep my hands warm in below freezing weather, is comfortable, and really stylish? Looking to spend around $50, maybe $75. Thanks.

Do you like leather gloves? Will you be in snowy conditions? I find that if you are in snow it is nice to have a glove with a water resistant outside. No wool etc. The touchscreen gloves always seem to be too thin to be very warm. I had posted these on the forum's Filson page. I can find a link to the leather gloves if interested. Just got these leather gloves from Ebay and Filson merino wool liners on Sierra Trading. $45 total I had a great pair of leather Red Wing gloves and Smart Wool liners but lost them at the end of last winter. Don't even know where I lost them. I hate when that happens. They are a hair tight but have noticed leather gloves do a stretch a little. Should be fine. Good warm gloves are a must in our weather.

Now that it's getting cooler, I'm going to have to pick up a pair soon. I really like the look of these three: Allen Edmonds Harris Tweed Gloves (I can't find them anywhere or even on their website. But they came in a catalog I received from AE) these: Polo RL Quilted Racing Gloves
And these: Polo RL Quilted Gloves

Unlined gloves are useless in the cold. No warmth.

Very nice gloves. For me, they are autum gloves. We need shit like this: They are good at -25c and are actually jetblack. I can remove one lining in these but have never needed to. If its cold its ballsfreezing cold. If I need to be a little more "dressy" I use these marlboro: Both look better irl since the flash make them look wierd.

Work Gloves Need something that will fend of splinters from timber, thorns from brambles, that sort of stuff Any suggestions? Chester Jeffries has some gloves called "The Roper" that might work for you. Never tried them, but I have a pair of their deerskin gloves and love the construction and quality. Their sale prices are great and, last I checked, they had some Ropers there.

I've been meaning to order a CJeff pair since last winter. Time to get on it. I like the ones with the contrast stitching. DigDug, I used to ride snowmobiles and we wore gloves like this. I've wanted this pair for sometime but since my snowblower has heated grips I really don't need them. These should last forever and provide more dexterity than a standard mitten and if your index finger gets cold just move it over with the other fingers till it gets warm again. blackdiamondequipment.com/en/ski-gloves/guide-finger-BD801521_cfg.html#cgid=gloves&start=2

Dang! northcoast those are perfect except the $170 price tag. If I wasn't worried about losing one or someone walking away with them I'd spring for them.

northcoast picked up a pair of those black diamond guide gloves off EBay. $55, now let's hope there in good shape (owner said they were only worn a few times) and that the fit is right. Thanks for the heads up on them.

I also need gloves. Was looking at lambswool by Norse Project and some deerskin leather ones by Geier. My only reservation with leather is whether or not it will shrink when wet.

I've got a pair of Geier deerskin gloves that I use for riding, and have gotten them wet, and they didn't shrink any, but the key is to dry them naturally, without any added heat. I've had some cheap leather work glove from China that have shrunk from wetness, but I think it has to do with the tanning process, and leather quality.

that was my experience as well. I had a cheap pair of cowhide leather gloves that were likely from China. they got wet from shoveling or some such thing but when they dried the fingers had shrunk to the point where I could no longer wear them. I let them dry naturally too.
I'm assuming the Geier gloves are lined? I'm mainly looking for something that will keep my hands insulated for stuff like scraping ice/snow off my car or just everyday casual wear.

I always lose my favorite gloves and mittens every winter. I needed some new ones for skiing for my boy and I. Did some research and lots of skiers, snowboarders and resort workers use these. They're all pigskin leather with a nice cuff. They come with a waterproof sealant that you apply before using. They are insulated and supposed to be very warm. 20 bucks a pair on Amazon. Kinco 901 gloves. Kinco 901T mitten. I have average size hands and the large mittens and medium glove fit perfect. The medium glove is a hair big for Ian but works fine and hopefully fit next year.
