I'll second gaseousclay's review of the Elko flannel. Good fit, well tailored, which I think is tough to find in a heavier flannel. The 5.8 oz weight is nice. It was -7 when I woke up this morning and this shirt helps.

How much can you reasonably expect lighter weight (I think 9 oz.) canvas to stretch? I bought a pair of edgevale yonder shorts on sale (not eligible for returns) that are probably 0.5 to 1 inch too small in the waist. I've worn them twice and they seem to maybe sorta be stretching, but it might just be wishful thinking. If these were denim I'd feel fairly confident that they would end up ok, but what about canvas? Should I give up on these, or fight the good fight?

Nate, not sure if this helps but my TS chore pants (12oz vs your 9oz) stretched about 0.5inch after about 2-3months of 2-3x wear. Had to unbutton here and there, so depends on if you want to battle or just resell.

edgevaleusa.com/collections/saleEdgevale is having a 1/2 off sale. If you sign up for their email you'll get an additional 10% off your order. I ordered 2 Elko flannels in the earth colorway and the sky colorway and got them for $55.80 each w/free shipping. I love my other red/white/blue elko flannel and it's probably my best fitting flannel shirt and it's surprisingly warm

Your pics make the pockets look a little less unaligned than their website. But if I got one like they show on their website, I'd never be able to wear it.

But if I got one like they show on their website, I'd never be able to wear it. can't say i've noticed any alignment issues to be honest. I just know this shirt is well made and pretty warm despite not being a heavy flannel. one peculiarity I noticed from doing a google search is that at one point they appeared to have changed the style of the pocket flap. I kinda prefer the old version, whereas, the new version is more rectangular. not a deal breaker in any sense, just the old pocket is stylistically better. kinda surprised I don't see this brand being represented in more stores. I've also wondered if their stuff is manufactured by the same company that does TS's stuff. either way, i'm curious to see what they come up with next. I really wanted the yonder shirt but they were sold out of my size.

Took delivery of my 2 Elko flannels and for 56 bones each they're not a bad deal. The thing that sucks though is these have a logo hangtag on the side seam of the body. Only just noticed it. In this instance i'm letting it slide because the only one who will care is me. It's just weird because the other elko flannel I bought doesn't have the logo hangtag. I get that they want to brand themselves but i'm typically anti-logo. I'll make exceptions here and there but as a rule, no. I guess I could look at it as being similar to what Colombia or The North Face does

gaseousclay Can you post personal measurements of your Elko flannel (size Medium)? Chest/shoulder/body length? Hoping to pull the trigger on a few flannels. Thanks!

The best I can do is to measure my washed flannel and compare it to the new ones. That should give you an idea of shrinkage. Will have to wait til tomorrow or so

Quick measurements for size large, new vs old:
New: P2p: 22" Shoulders: 19" Sleeve (from shoulder to cuff): 25.5" Length (from top of shoulder to bottom): 30.5"
Washed: P2p: 21.5" Shoulders: 18.5" Sleeve: 25" Length: 29.5"
So about .5" shrinkage all around and an inch in length with a cold wash hang dry

Whoa that's quite a bit of shrinkage just from a cold wash and hang dry. Yeah I like the looks of a lot of their shirts but the logo thing you mentioned has stopped me from pulling the trigger.

Yeah I like the looks of a lot of their shirts but the logo thing you mentioned has stopped me from pulling the trigger. the shrinkage seems normal, at least to me. I got roughly the same amount of shrinkage on my 3sixteen crosscut flannel. I think the added logo must be fairly recent. i'm still trying to decide if I want to take a pair of scissors and cut the damn logo off the shirt or keep it as is.

gaseousclay how do you like the color of that light blue/umber Elko flannel you have? The first one in your pic of the three you have a few posts up? How is it in person?

I have that shirt and I would say the color in gaseousclay's pic is very close to the color IRL. I see that shirt is available for $49 on the edgevale site. That's a good deal. I like this shirt. I'll be interested to see how you think it compares to your stable of IH. Might be an apples and oranges situation.

I'm typically not used to light blues in my wardrobe but this one works for me. My one and only gripe is the hangtag on the side of the shirt. My red/white/blue elko doesn't have the hangtag but my new ones do. I can always cut them off but for now they're only noticeable to me. These are a lightweight flannel....probably 5oz or so but they keep me warm. but, i'm a walking furnace and get hot easily. For what I paid and for being MiUSA they're a bargain. I doubt these even come close to IH flannel craftsmanship but they get the job done.

Well, nevermind. Someone beat me to it and bought the last large. I had it in my cart an hour ago but held off till I heard some feedback on the color. Oh well.
I can assume this means some new Elko fabrics will be coming out soon?

I bought a small based on the measurement guide on their website and it's too small for me.
If anyone bought a medium and wants to trade please let me know!
Very comfortable shirt, super soft, and great construction.

I wear a large in the elko and the fit is spot on for me.
