Got my Nicks today.
Will post pics later. They did not give me a cuban heel, and I can return them, but am contemplating.
Basically I bought them for ice and snow and the block heel does give more stable feel than the cuban on my Whites. I do prefer the look of the cuban though, and at least at first blush, I enjoy the arch ease last.
BUt, thing is, Whites semi dress with a cuban heel vs. a Nicks Falcon with block heel, well, the Whites does feel like you are walking in heels and the Nicks feel more natural. I will hell "clunk" more with the Whites than these Nicks block heels.
Basically if I was doing work, I'd go with the Nicks and going out, the Whites.
BUT it's making me question my next pair and when that time comes I think I'm more tempted to go back to Whites with the semi dress last and get another pair of semi-dress or a pair of smoke Jumpers or packers.

So navy or light blue laces? I have some dark brown waxed too but I'm not liking the tonal as much. 5” Falcon (one piece heel and backstay) Brown waxed flesh Leather toe cap antique hardware - all eyes Natural edge Single celastic Cuban heel base Commando mini lug sole - Vibram #1273

Do your white's have a higher heel? Seem to be. I'll have to put the side to side. The weird thing is that I was told the last was the same as the semi-dress last but because of the arch support, and heel height, the Whites look like a shorter boot.

Phew! That's expensive for just putting aglets on paracord.....
I use paracord in a couple of pairs of my boots (Old habit..... Was in the Army.), And literally, you only need to hear the ends of the paracord with a lighter to make it start to melt, then pinch it in to shape... The joys of nylon.

The weird thing is that I was told the last was the same as the semi-dress last but because of the arch support, and heel height, the Whites look like a shorter boot. Sent these back to be relasted. Was a miscommunication and I wanted the cuban heel and the semi-dress last. The last that Nicks uses like the semidress is the 55 which I think is the Robert last. The pictures above are from the Falcon last.

Waiting on these. Acorn Shell Trickers bought from a guy on GYW. Couldn't pass them up, 2298 last which fits me well. The other last that they use for the country ranger boots is too wide for me. imgur.com/a/eFtcZ

It's a bit more complicated than that. :-) One of the things that separates us from the rest is the fact we use REAL military paracord. Also, our metal tips don't come off just by a little pressure of a fingernail. The tips are bound to the laces using a special process and then cleaned up and oiled to really make them shine. I would be happy to send you a pair at no cost to try out. We always love getting feedback from our customers! They also come with a lifetime warranty. But in all honesty, in 2 years, we've had 3 warranty claims. All 3 were from eyelets that had sharpened over time and sliced through the laces. If you know anything about paracord, you know it's very hard to break by tension. Let me know what you think, pm me, and I'll send you a 100% off discount code so you can try them out.

Some engineer boots recently picked up Left to right: Lofgren Natural CXL just received today. Fing amazeballs. Nothing more can be said about Lofgren engineers, they really are in a league of their own. Attractions 268 (horse butt). Really love their slick profile (especially the sole). Lofgren Badalassi: Minimally sun tanned. Evo potential of the fing chart. So nice. Can't wait to get them really dark and cherry. Received great deals on these. Picked up the naturals for 542$ new on Ebay! YES!!
