Well wait a minute..which size were you going for in each brand alphatectzWell with the Raleigh I went with the 34s instead of the 36 since the 36 where a little to loose on me, but the 34s are very slim but look and feel good. Plus I know they'll stretch out a bit. But I'm looking to pick up 2 pairs of the RGT SK fit since they're are a slim tapered fit, but trying to figure out if I should go down a size or not.

This is the left fields Chelsea (slim tapered) fit size chart. I went true to so since I could button up the button in a 34 (they are a 16oz though).

RgT's stretch a lot. A whole lot. Which ones are you looking at? If you're looking at the tinted weft, I'd recommend the 14.5oz over them. However if you've found some of the overdyed, I highly recommend. However do not size down on the overdyed, the process takes a lot of stretch out of them.

I am looking at these www.rogueterritory.com/shop/sk-12-oz-tinted-weft/ just b/c it's a 12.5 oz. I recently brought the Raleigh Martin slim tapered and sized down, but I feel like they're to tight. Plus I'm scraped that they will eventually rip instead of stretching to a decent size. Going to try and see if I can exchange them for a 36. These are the fit pics of them: imgur.com/a/AwLs6 don't get me wrong. I love how they look, but still scared that they will rip very soon. I guess sizing down isn't meant for everyone. Plus I'm 6'1 and 230lbs. Just big thighs so that's why I usually stay with a 36 waist.

I have the 11oz RgT, they're great for 90+ degree days. Even though I'm wearing 12.5oz Cone Blue lines right now for our 80 degree Xmas, I just find lighter or heavier weights to be more versatile.

Ok so I'm debating on what I should get. The sk are a skinny fit, but the stantons are a slim straight so I'm not sure what to do. I know that Agee of you said that the sk will be the perfect fit. So maybe I'll go with those. Now I've been looking at the dark color (navy) it looks great, but I'm not sure if I can pull it off. I need to find a store in NYC that carries rgt so I can try on both fits and the dark (navy color).

I have to have a minimum of a 25" thigh (lighter fabrics) up to 26"+ for the heavier denims.

SK's have a good amount of taper, but aren't a lot tighter in the top block. Stanton's are more of straight cut and SK's are closer to a slim.

then probably the SK fit I would guess. Then sk it is. Try both on. Both are a good cut. I own Stanton's but want SK's. I'm also currently wearing a 9" cuff 22oz Oni, so I'm not all skinny all the time.

I was thinking the same about the SK's. I'll try them on and see how they fit, but if the stantons are better. Then in might just get them tapered. But I'll have to wait unto I try both on.

Curious why you say that about SK's? Comparing a Gustin Slim to RgT SK nets exactly the same front rise, thigh and knee, with the RgT being a half inch tighter in the waist and a quarter inch tighter in the cuff. Size up in the waist and all measurements will be looser than a Gustin Slim, a fit that I wouldn't come close to calling skinny. What am I missing? I also find two important consistencies about RgT denim, it stretches a lot in the waist, and both Stanton's and SK's have a good inch more rear rise than Gustin Slims. Good if you're over 6'. Again, SK's are pretty much a Gustin Slim with a bit more taper from the knee down. Comparing SK to Stanton, there's a half inch more front rise, a quarter inch more room in the thigh, a half inch more room in the knee and three quarters of an inch more cuff. Much closer to a straight fit than what I'd consider a tapered fit. But in all honesty, the top block feels nearly the same and tapering a Stanton would effectively just net you an SK.

RgT's site lists them as 'skinny leg' in the drop down menu for starters. Looking at my size in the SK, the variances seem tight in the thigh and knee by a a quarter inch to half inch or so...the waist and hem seem fine considering the 36" length of their jeans. If I measure my G slims the way RgT measures their jeans then they come closer to the Stantons than the SK's with the exception of the hem. If I were to buy the SK fit in either a 31 or 32 and size for the thigh and knee you'd have to slather me in vaseline just to get them on. A 12" thigh is ok for me but i'd have to have pencil legs to get the knees to work.
