For those of you with an RGT shirt, do you cut out the HUGE tag along the "cut here" line? The chain stitch run offs for that matter on the work shirt; to keep or trim? Pretty sure I'll be getting my scissors out for both but I want to hear the case for keeping them. Yeah, kill the tag. They even have scissor lines printed. The remaining tag falls apart pretty quickly too. I leave the runoff but have shortened it on a few shirts.

Yeah, it's pretty cool in person (and I dislike both Hawaiian shirts and short sleeves). It's on sale at many places, if you really want one...

Fit pic of the neppy work shirt in size XXL. I'd been eye balling their ISC work shirt for a while but I wanted something to contrast better with my IH-634SB's instead of being overly tonal. Another plus is that this one is soft and instantly wearable day one due to the rinse process opposed to the rigidity and stiffness that frequently gets reported about the ISC. For $30 less to boot, I'd say it's a winner. Paging northcoast since we're similar in size. Fit is similar to my Taylor Stitch 46 Mechanic Shirt through the body with longer looser arms.

Received my Stanton 14.5 oz jeans today and these things are money. I am thoroughly impressed.
I hate to use the word perfect anymore when referring to a fit but the Stanton fit is damn close. It's a perfect middle ground of a slim and straight fit for my body. I went with a size 33 and the thighs are a wee bit tight but not enough to make them eligible for a return and should be pretty close to perfect after a little stretch. The waist fits perfectly loose. Absolutely no stretching will be required, right on the money right out of the bag. The cut is very flattering for my body I think. I could see how a person who prefers a slim tapered fit might have an issue with the cuff opening but for me and my size 12's it's damn near perfect. By no means is the cuff opening an IH 634 type of hem, but it's a bit wider than a tapered slim fit cuff but not quite as wide as every other classic straight fit cuff.
As for the fabric, I love it. It is without a doubt the stiffest and crispiest pair of 14.5 oz jeans I have ever tried. They almost feel like I'm wearing the Heavy American fabric. So crisp.....which makes the drape very nice IMO. Color is very nice. There's a perfect amount of white weft popping through and they almost have a cone like appearance to them but with some grainy Japanese texture to them....and I mean that as the highest of compliments. They have an absolute classic Indigo look. I seriously couldn't be happier. These are great. I wish I would have tried RT before I gave Railcar a shot.
A few things I would change; the front pockets are a little on the high, tight, and shallow side. It's a bit more of a challenge to put my hands in them than I would like and they are not very deep. Also, the right rear pocket has a pen pocket stitched inside as most of you know which I could definitely do without. Not a deal breaker by any means and nobody would ever know it's there but in a perfect world I would do without them. Thirdly, if I'm being extremely picky the back pocket stitching is not my favorite but definitely not so strange that I wouldn't wear them (ahem...Momotaro..ahem) and yes, I know, stitch remover...got it.
Overall...my initial impressions..I love these. I'd give them about a 8.5/9 out of 10 with points being deducted for the things I would change above. I will definitely be buying another pair of these.

That sounds perfect for me, esp the slightly longer arms and I see the chest leaves room for shrinkage. I've had the ISC from TS and the rail car denim shirt. I did not like the feel of the ISC and sent it back. The rail car denim I barely fit into and I sold it. Looks good man, I like how the shoulder hem falls slightly OVER your shoulder. Almost all the shirts I get from these MiUSA places has that hem right at my shoulder or up above it and it drives me nuts. Bonus for me is I still dont have a denim workshirt..........

No shrinkage expected either since the fabric has already touched water. I'll eventually forget how much I paid but that fit will still be money.

Right, and it's a classic signature piece that is not going to go out of style. Thats supposed to be what all this MiUSA and workshirt jazz is all about. Now you have me thinking about buying one. I noticed that the westerns they offer are a litttle tighter in the chest. I like that bit of extra room in the regular version so it's not pulling across my sternum.

hopsbreath in your pic the fabric doesn't look nearly as neppy as it does on the RT website, which is good IMO. would you say that's true?

I like nep though so perhaps my threshold for "too much" is higher than yours. Probably not going to be much nep left with 50-60 wears I'd gues. The rinse probably took care of a little of it already. Fairly hairy hand is the more striking aspect.

ickes, you might try the Strider cut later. It nixes the rear pocket design and the pen pocket and is pretty close to Stanton measurements with a slightly narrower cuff, but no where the SK slimness.

I was looking at the same workshirt too but their sizing on shoulder seem way small for my liking. I would need a XXL just to have the shoulder fit but then the chest would billow like crazy unless i start bench pressing arnold style. hopsbreath not sure if you measured but did the shoulders come in spec to size chart of around 19.5" ?

I feel like those workshirts are a dime a dozen, but a navy/burgundy flannel is not.

This shot makes it more appealing to me. This one's cool too, but speaks a little too much to my pendejo heritage.

I feel like those workshirts are a dime a dozen, but a navy/burgundy flannel is not. And I appreciate that. But here is the nuance: They are not a dime a dozen in my size. They are rare as hens teeth as in this is the only one I know of outside of a custom that will fit. So there is that.
