Was really intrigued by the new RGT workshirt drop in hopes that maybe they'd have these beauties in their long-sleeved counterpart. No such luck. Without coming across as negative, I have to ask - doesn't short sleeves defeat the intent of a "workshirt" in the most classic sense? I get that probably more dudes who work hard on a laptop will grab one of these, but short sleeve just seems a little not quite right for me. Hence why I'll pass on this round.

Really depends on the work being done. I once witnessed a friend working on a printing press get a sleeve ripped off of a flannel shirt. He was really lucky, it could have been ugly. In voc/tech school my teacher wore only SS shirts (black with black pants so the ink didn't show) year round just for this reason.

Based on the response around here, keyboard junkies prefer long sleeves. Short sleeves can be nice if you're worried about them getting caught in machinery, but in most of those situations there's also a chance of sparks and nonsense hitting your arms, so it's probably just a preference thing. If there's no chance of arm damage and I'm working in 100 degrees, short sleeves are a nice thing to have.

I do like the idea in theory, as I'm one who dabbles in a combo of computer work and mtb bike/SUV builds and would actually put this to work as a work shirt. I'm not doing any welding or machine work, so I think it's just preference as you noted.

Also, if you have small IT arms, the short sleeve button-up isn't a flattering look.

I bought the Rgt Officer Trousers in Bronze Selvedge, but I need to get it hemmed. Do I need to soak it first?

Wanted a pair of the Copper SK's, but non selvedge and that price means I'm waiting for a sale.

Did anyone here end up grabbing a pair of the RGT collaboration with Blue Owl? The unsanforized "Expedition SK" 14 oz? I'm guessing from this group that it's possibly to slim fit and two low rise (10" pre-soak) for most here.
Debating taking a flyer on these. I may end up going in a different direction and grabbing some PBJ's.

I like the new black flannel western though. I wish RgT would bring back the sashiko western...i'm kicking myself for not jumping on that one when I had the chance.

Decided that the RT 14.5 oz Stanton is going to be my next pair. I can't decide on a 32 or 33. Thigh and knee are a touch small on the 32 but waist might be too big on the 33.

They stretch like mad, I undersize all of my RgT. Been debating a pair of Dark SK's, but the new IxI Oni and Tanuki are both tempting, and unsanforized.

For those of you with an RGT shirt, do you cut out the HUGE tag along the "cut here" line? The chain stitch run offs for that matter on the work shirt; to keep or trim? Pretty sure I'll be getting my scissors out for both but I want to hear the case for keeping them.
