the neppy western's coming back too - always kicked myself for passing it up. I may pull the trigger on this one this time.

http://instagr.am/p/8jeen9L90g Rogue Territory is releasing a new ISC work shirt. What we know so far : - Custom fabric exclusive to RgT - indigo dyed selvedge ID - 9 oz - New Fit roomier in the body and chest - released today at 8am PST Old one with old fabric is amazing. Not sure why they'd wanna fix what ain't broke.

Not sure why they'd wanna fix what ain't broke. Maybe there was a shortage in the fabric. IIRC this is the third iteration of their ISC. The previous one had an italian fabric, this one is japanese. Who knows ? Maybe Karl wanted to try something else. This new fabric is custom made for them. Custom can be tricky, the buyer commits to order a certain yardage which could be quite important. On a side note, 9 oz with a roomier fit sounds pretty good. It won't be as beefy as the 12,5 for sure but seeing as the break in was brutal on mine, and a lot of people experiencing shrinkage... Also this new fabric is described as slubby, unlike the previous one.

Yeah, I'll try the new ISC. Although the Western is tempting.
Any idea if Expeditions will be coming in Dark?

I finally bought the Western Neppy shirt. It's a gorgeous shirt with a very good construction. I soaked it once and it's still super stiff so I guess the fabric must be very starchy. I'm surprised with the fit though. I went with my usual size as it's the recommendation, and the western is supposed to be worn as a shirt not an overshirt. Well it's definitely an over shirt in my opinion, or I would have needed to size down otherwise. It's not a problem to me. Actually I'd rather wear it as an overshirt anyway. But it still feels roomier than my utility work shirt and my 2014 ISC, especially the waist it's not tapered at all like the work shirts are. I can see now why most people wear their RgT work shirts only with the top buttons. There's no need to do that with that western.

I love the fabric but I'm not really a western shirt kinda guy. If I was going to try to pull it off though it would be with this shirt.

You should not feel uncomfortable in that one at all. It looks more like a "work shirt" to me...

I was told that fit on the Ridgeline waxed canvas jacket also has changed, which would explain why the sleeves feel longer and the cuffs feel huge. It's definitely longer in the body.
