Hello all. This thread is probably biased but is shadow selvedge still the gold standard for I X I (I x Black)? After mistakenly selling my G pair I’m looking for a replacement I have not gone down this route since I generally prefer a higher rise and have not seen much in the i x I Anyway considering the ct if they are not a lifters cut Or something from freenote or subject to low rise try on a pair of railcar spikes Not sure from your question if you're looking for indigoxblack or indigoxindigo. The shadow selvedge is indigoxblack. I have no personal experience with shadow selvedge from 3sixteen, but everyone who has it seems to love it. Their type 3 shadow jacket seems to be very popular amongst the instagrammers. Here's another option from LF NYC: www.blkblu.com/collections/left-field-nyc/products/lf-x-blackblue-greaser-jeansIt's a collab with my local denim shop. I have their greaser cut in another denim type and it's definitely got a higher rise. I've seen good fades on these too. Looks like Freenote has indigoxblack options too. I'm sure there many, many more options from Japanese brands.

I'll eventually add them to my rotation as my beater jeans. People seem to like the shadow selvedge because of the fading properties, so I guess it depends on what else it is you're looking for besides the fit.

Put my black 3sixteen henley through a cold wash/hang dry and didn't notice any shrinkage. I know this would be the case had I thrown it in the dryer, but I was afraid i'd lose some length in the sleeve. Overall I'm satisfied with the henley. I will order the grey and indigo variants at some point just to have more variety.

Damn, this thing is friggin' beautiful... Considering, I recently picked up the IHSH-215, I've been balking at this. But, I don't know that I can resist much longer. The lighter weight, and lighter shade certainly make it justifiable.

Damn, this thing is friggin' beautiful... indeed, but doesn't pockets seems to close to the placket?

I have the exact same thoughts as you scooter but I caved and bought one even though I have the IHSH-215 as well. It should be here by the weekend, I'll let you know my thoughts on whether the differences are justifiable. They sold out pretty quickly in most sizes. The Slate blue version is nice as well. 3sixteen has quickly become my favorite American based brand, actually my 2nd favorite overall behind IH. Their Chinos are fantastic, the ST cut for their jeans is a great cut, their 12oz Indigo selvedge fabric is the best lightweight fabric I've found and is perfect for the Phoenix summers and they have several other great fabrics as well, great Ts if the fit works and solid hoodies and thermals. They also have collaberations with Good Art, Viberg, and Rivet and Hide. Good stuff.

They also have collaberations with Good Art, Viberg, and Rivet and Hide. Good stuff. Thanks for that, Matt. But, like you, I will likely cave before you have the chance to give me those thoughts. BOW still has them available in my size, and the mothership has them going live tomorrow. 3sixteen was my first real foray into premium selvedge denim(ST-120x). While the ST cut isn't the best for me, the denim is fantastic, and the construction is quite good. I certainly remained interested in their goods. I've got the kibata in the SL cut, and it works very well for me. I've also got a couple of flannels, and that salt-and-pepper chambray a few of us here jumped on at half price. A few months ago, I finally gave the tees a go. I nabbed a black pocket tee, on sale, from an online shop. I loved it, so I grabbed a 2 pack of white basics from the mothership. Unfortunately, they came up a bit shorter, and not as slim in the waist. I was a little disappointed, but nowhere near enough to knock me off the brand. Just a couple of weeks ago, I picked up my first short sleeve button down of theirs, from the SE warehouse. It's the best damned fit I've found. I'll be going that route again. I only wish I had discovered it sooner, so I would've grabbed one of those black floral s/s beauties they released this summer. I've been searching, but can't find one anywhere, let alone one in my size. I haven't tried the hoodies, yet. But, that's only because I'm all in on American Giant's. I've got a handful, and it's likely to be quite a few years until I need another. I'm definitely in the same camp with you. They are my favorite American brand. Their S/S and F/W lookbooks are the only ones I pay attention to.

Thats interesting you mention that about the T's because I had the exact same issue, the white T's came up shorter than the black T's. The T fabrics are great, especially the garment dyed fabric, and if you can nail the fit they are at the top of the list for T's in my book.
I've got a pair of the 14oz double black denim coming too with my brown flannel. I also think the blue and khaki mechanic shirts that are dropping this F/W look killer. The frog camo fabric is interesting as well.

I may try others, but stay clear of the white, going forward. I ordered the brown flannel from BOW, about an hour ago. I also grabbed a N&F tee, as well. Apparently, they've got a company in Montreal producing them for them. 10oz, tube knit(no side seams), and a chest to shoulder ratio that is right in my wheelhouse. For $38, I figured it was worth a try. The blue mechanic doesn't appeal to me, but the khaki looks great. The frog camo is one of the better camos I've seen, but I know I'd never wear it. I'm really interested in getting a better look at the black linen shirt.

Did you guys size up on their tees? I like my Henley and sized up on that one. Still haven’t worn my st-140’s. Will probably sell my crosscut flannels when I can find the time

Will probably sell my crosscut flannels when I can find the time I'm an XXL in their shirts, and stuck with it for the tees. The shoulder and chest are great on each. The whites came up short in length, and a bit wide around the waist, compared to the black one. The black one is as good as it gets for fit. When I had fit issues with my SG2109, I had given serious thought to going with the SL-140x. They ought to be fabulous "dirty" faders. But, they've got to be worn often. With all the denim I've got, they wouldn't see that kind of wear. 3sixteen seems to be having trouble getting rid of their stock. They've had them on sale for $190, for some time, now. You'd probably have too take a bit of a hit to resell them. So, I say, wear the sh!t out of them. I've got the blue shaggy crosscut, and purple check flannels. The purple check is lightweight, and the colorway is quite unique. I'll be keeping that. I will likely unload the blue shaggy, though.

I also have the blue shaggy crosscut as well as the blue check and salmon check crosscut. Too much time on this forum has made me hate the yoke on their shirts and jackets. The shaggy crosscut is pretty warm though. At least they didn't go with the crosscut yoke on their workshirts. Luckily for me, i'm not into work shirts so they're an easy pass. I probably should've sized to an xl with their crosscut flannels as the ones I have are size large and fit tight. I went up to xl for my henley so I suspect i'd do the same for their tees. Might pick up their grey and indigo henleys soon.
I actually scored my pair of ST-140x off of Fleabay pretty cheap, but having so many other pairs of denim has meant they just sit in my closet. I do have a new pair of st-100x's that I sized wrong on that I also need to unload. Despite having lots of jeans, I still want to nab IH's 777-21's and 777-142's at some point. I can't believe I don't own any IH denim yet.

I normally dislike their rear yoke, but their Thomas Hooper collab is f'ing awesome this year. And ironically I can't find a pic of the yoke.

Yeah that back yoke is what's kept me from buying a lot of their shirts but thankfully the workshirt doesn't have that.

Will probably sell my crosscut flannels when I can find the time My Large black T's fit me like a charm, the whites are a different story. I've even tried an XL long and after a wash and dry they still are a bit short and boxy but fit great in the chest and shoulders. I just can't nail it with their white T's. I have a Large grey one that fits great too, it's actually almost too long but still works.

I like mine to be a little loose but not overly baggy, although, I do have some that are somewhat fitted.
