Looking to buy a pair for Snow Removal. I'll be waxing them with OtterWax Fabric Dressing. Not the rub on stuff but the melt it brush it on, heat gun it stuff.
I've been looking at the Carhartts 12oz , Duluth FireHose 11.5 oz, or thinking of Manny make me a pair. The IH's are just to expensive. Any thoughts or other brands?

Well depending on how you are using them and the climate and degree of physical activity I may move away from canvas.
Have you considered refrigeration suit overalls? Or just the whole suit, meaning jacket and overalls?
More breathable than waxed and warmer as well.

What I need more then warmth is Dry. With Snow blowing I end up getting soaked with the snow blowing back at me. I've been wearing a pair of waxed Kuhl pants that are fine but I'd prefer a pair of overalls. What I'd like is a pair of Filson Oiled Tin overalls. But those run $275. For $100 I can make my own.

Are you doing this for hours, professionally?
I like to go out with a tshirt and flannel under a down jacket and synthetic long underwear with cargo's or BDU's work well though I have not had a pair of those in years.
Anyways, good luck. I never got beyond Carhartt for what your looking to buy.

I'm pleased with how these came out (though I wish they were a heavier canvas). I went heavy on the wax on them, as they will be my snow/rain gear.

Nice. That's their firehose material, yeah? Yes. Not as thick as I had hoped. But I knew it was only 11.5oz. So I got these for $25 of EBay. I would have liked to pick up a pair of CF 18oz but it seems he's swamped and can't get to making a pair of overalls. Manny need $250 to sew up a pair. So I ended getting these and a pair of Filsons Wool Overalls. All for under $200. So I think I should be Overall covered for what ever Winter may bring.

I'll wear the wool when it fridged of light snow and the waxed pair when it's raining or heavy snow. I'll pick up a pair of silk/wool longjohns to wear under if needed.

Time to bust out the spring and summer clothes I packed away. In all seriousness, I've been checking the 45 day forecast like an insane man and it seems like it'll be a warm winter.

I bought 3 new SnowBlowers, 6 Shovels, Plenty of Salt, New Wool jacket/overalls, The best gloves, 3 sets of snow tires, 4Cords wood, remote car starter, Alpaca Hat! So of coarse it's a mild winter, Your All Welcome. PS. And an Allwheel drive Subaru

Slated to be a very dry winter. Hopefully that holds up, even though I spent good money on a couple really big coats just in case.

We will be in the 50's until February. The jet stream will be keeping us warm.
