My latest acquisition..... A 21 oz Grey Warp/Black Weft jean from Iron Heart in the 634 cut. The warp is rope dyed grey so it will fade over time but the black is enzyme dyed so it will not fade. These are f!@king awesome. The enzyme dyed black weft is almost jet black, extremely dark which pops nicely. Once again it was hard to capture the true colors on my crappy phone camera but I think I did ok.
These are the stiffest, crispiest pair of sanforized Iron Hearts I've bought to date. They definitely are not soft and supple like the 21oz indigo fabric. That being said they have already started to soften up a bit and stretch in the waist after a couple days of wear. I absolutely love these things and cannot wait to see how they fade. Right now, fresh out of the bag, they have a deep and solid charcoal hue to them and you can see the black weft if you look closely. The cuffs look killer too cause it shows of that solid, jet black weft.
The best part is that I picked these up for 200 bucks off of IHUK. They were 330 bucks when they first dropped a few years ago but IHUK put them on sale because they apparently aren't going to carry them anymore and I think they only have a few sizes left. However if you click the link on the product page on IHUK they will find your size in Japan and get them shipped over to you. That's what they did for me. I contacted Giles and told him I was in between a 32 and a 33 on these so Giles got a pair of 32s and a pair of 33s shipped over to IHUK and then sent me the measurements on each pair and let me pick which one I wanted.
Here is the link to the product page; www.ironheart.co.uk/bottoms/ih-634s-gr.html
I went with the 32s so I believe they still have the 33s in stock that I declined. Anyways, a good deal on a great pair of jeans if anyone is interested. I highly recommend them.

Forgot to mention that these have lined back pockets as well (see pic above). A small detail that I dig.

BTW,just in case anyone is interested in the last pair of tagged 33s....their product page says that the last pair of 33s measures out to an actual 34" waist, that is wrong. IH has not updated their product page and that was for the previous "last" pair of 33s that was available which sold a few months ago. The most recent pair of 33s that they just got in has an actual 33" waist and I have all of the exact measurements for that last pair of 33s if anyone is interested.

Those look really great! I'm looking forward to trying a pair of 634s myself at some point in the (hopefully near) future.

I don't need greys but that's a great price from IHUK for what looks like a great pair of jeans. I hope they do that with other colours.

Ah man. I swear I believe I saw these were to be released in the 666 cut.(?) Been eagerly waiting for the perfect black jean (anybody can make a reactive dyed black) and this warp/weft sounded killer to me. I would be torn between this and the OD but they appear to both have a place in anyone's closet. Great find. These are fing great.

You're almost right in your thinking that IH will be releasing this fabric in the 666 cut but I believe it's a new fabric that will be the flipped version of this color combo (black warp/grey weft). I own the black overdyes as well so there absolutely is a place for both in your closet. If you're lookig for a black jean I highly recommend the black overdyes. These greyxblacks are definitely more of a dark charcoal color when new as opposed to the dark black color of the overdyes. Also, the two will definitely take on different appearances as they age and the warp dye begins to fade.

I'm new to IH (although I have gone over board in the last 6 months:) and have yet to get an OD'ed product. The IHSH-99 was my first interest (still no dice with no sizing available:(. The OD stuff really is amazing...so amazing I was/am willing to pay $400 for a shacket. OD is only available outside of Japan correct? Wonder if that new 666 release will be on Rakuten...

In Japan they call it the IHSH-33MB, MB standing for Mad Black which I believe is a bastardization of the English term Matte Black. Other than that shirt though I don't believe I have seen any OD products in Japan. You're absolutely right, the Overdye stuff is awesome, I absolutely love it.

Picked up the 30s ickes. Looking forward to seeing these paired with my new Viberg Engineer Black Bison. Should be a nice pairing. I hope you enjoy them. I absolutely love these jeans and I have found myself wearing them way more than I thought I would. Since I have gotten them I have actually worn them more than my 634s 21oz and my 634s 21oz overdye. I bought them with the intention of only using them on the days I didn't feel like Indigo or my black overdyes, basically to be third in my rotation. Well since I've had them they've been number one. I'm sure part of the reason for that is because they are new and I'm stretching the waist out a bit but they really look great with several different colors. Honestly though IMO they don't go very will with black because they are close enough to being black but still aren't quite black so it doesn't pair well, at least for shirts anyways.
anyways, awesome pair of jeans and I hope you enjoy them.

Jdub6, I think the red/pink laces are fine and add a nice touch of colour. FWIW, I swapped the yellow/brown laces on my Wesco Jobmasters to purple/pink to liven them up, but the boots are so macho/OTT looking it doesn't matter what colour the laces are.

They're ok:) The shoes are so fing great though they don't need em and would sell a whole bunch more with the creams:) My favorite shoe for realz...never would have guessed. Girls love em, specially as I live in "Big Blue Nation." hahah...see the pink laces had to go:) Seriously though, blue shoes, a secret no man should be without.

Love the look of this fabric...wish the cut was different. That cuff of >8.5" is a killer.

Any evo on these yet, Brah? No evo. I don't wear them much and I've heard they are slow to fade as well. I didn't buy them for "sick fades", I bought them as a unique pair to break up my indigos and blacks in my rotation.
