Little scared of that myself. Asked for a 34" post shrink inseam and I'm pretty sure that unwashed it's already closer to 33" or 33.5". These may go through life without a soak/wash.

Yeah, I remain confused on that order point. Does CF attempt to add extra inches, depending on the material, so that post shrink the length matches your provided "actual" inseam?

That was my understanding, and to be fair, I haven't measured mine, so they might just not have relaxed and seem a little short. But I need a 33" inseam and asked for a 34" post soak, which I would have expected would be around 35" and I currently wear them uncuffed and the length is just about perfect.

doh!
ok, well I guess I'll cross my fingers then.
I just put 33 in which is my actual inseam.

So I've got about a week of wear and one soak. Wearing them again tonight. I kind of like the way they fit and think these will become a nice pair of jeans for me. Still wish I had that 1 inch of shrink back in the length. I had ordered a 33" inseam but only recieved a 31". But for the price and the rest of the build, I'm happy.
I'd like to see something cheep like a TShirt for our next project. Maybe a Natural Indigo T with indigo flower graphic.

And I got a quite bit of leg twist. Did you get the leg twist after the soak? Also, flat felled or taped seams?

I have slight leg twist now with my 23s with taped seams. I also had 1 in less for the inseam on both the 20 and 23oz.

Is there a relationship between denim weight and the amount of twist, or is it just a random thing? I only have two pairs of selvedge denim (heresy, I know), that are 13 and 15 oz and haven't noticed any twist.
Also, I wonder if taped seams influences twist at all. The taping may shrink differently than the attached denim, contributing to twist? Just a theory...

Unsanforized generally twists more, and sanfo'd generally doesn't twist at all. Right hand twists clockwise looking down, LHT counter and broken twill shouldn't twist. Weight seems to have less effect than how loose the weave is. Edited to change one unsanforized to sanforized. Oops

Agree that i get more twist with loose weave denim, and unsanforized more than Sanforized (though bentin you mention unsanforized back to back in your post)

No, I was just confused by your post: "Unsanforized generally twists more, and unsanfo'd generally doesn't twist at all. " Maybe I misread it, but it seems like you're saying unsanforized does and doesn't twist. Getting back to topic. The denim for these CF jeans is is sanforized, right? But folks are seeing twist? I'm confused.

Hehe, what a rube. Yeah, second should be sanforized, which twists less or not at all. My Gustin Okayama Standards have been hot washed violently to get good shrinkage and have absolutely no twist. My Oni have only had the initial rinse and have a ton of twist.
The Ciano denim is RHT and sanforized, and mine only have a few wears and no soaks with no noticeable twist. But they seem pretty loosely woven, so a hot wash and / or a dryer run would likely introduce some twist.
