So what did we agree on for rules? - Post a beginning pic. - how about quarterly transition pics (End of March, June, Sept., final pic end of Dec.) - the Mods pic 3 Of the best looking Fades for the Community to vote on. - winner wins Bragging rights for a year I say monthly pics instead of quarterly. Thoughts? I like monthly, three months can lead to some surprises that create animosity in a contest. It also helps people keep a little bit better tabs on how the contest is going. To get more specific, how about these: Pictures should be taken and posted by the end of the first weekend of the month. Picture update should be at least full front and back. You can also include any detail pics that you think set your pair apart.

Can someone post up detailed pics of the AmSans? I may be in the minority in thinking the AmSans don't look all that special to commit a contest for. This forum will be filthy with pictures by the end of the week.

Not something to many of us have or that I've seen. I've seen other typical Indigo with white weft fades in contest but we're not Typical.

Thoughts? 1. Post a pic of the common fade areas pre-wear on Thursday/Friday in the pic thread (I don't know if phones do date stamping...but we should all really be honest for a community fade contest ha...). 2. Common use only. No false fades. Thus, no sandpapering, no crawling around on cement for no other reason than to act like a goon and make fades, no rubbing any weird stuff on them...just no funny business. 3. Washing: throwing them in the washing machine is a-ok, hand washing of course, you can "wash" them in the sea but no rubbing sand on them (so wearing them into the seawater is fine, I'd say....but why?). 4. Post a monthly transition pic to stay in the contest. 5. Mods pick 3 best for the Community to vote on. 6. Winner gets bragging rights and the trophy @stevekas belt.

I own a lot of denim, and they are nothing like anything I own. Unsanforized old-school shrink to fits that are super inky and dark with a tight weave, very crispy and starchy after shrinking them, slightly hairy with a dark beige weft. I tried them on before and after shrinking to fit (obviously), and they definitely feel heavier than my other 12 oz. denim after the shrink process. I don't own anything like it. I was frankly pretty happily surprised with getting these from Gustin. They're unique. I got my Railcar'd pair back finally and I can't wait to wear them.

I also found that they crease easily. Only had them on for fitting for 5-10 min and the combs creases were starting.

Stiff as cardboard. I left mine on the same hanger I dried them on back when I got them in. But at least I'm not singing soprano with them on.

I'm in! Agree with variable, mine were stiff as hell from hanging for over a month post-soak. Felt like cardboard rolling up to put in my duffel. Not a great couple pics, but a quick shot before brunch and traveling back to Phoenix. Day 1, 2016

Posted my pics over in the pic thread. Been wearing mine for 4 hours. These are pretty rad I must say. Fuzzy, inky, crispy, nice tight combs creasing in the back. They are lighter weight but don't feel like it at all. The tightness of the weave and crispness of the fabric have a lot to do with that. Even though the weave is tight, there's a fair amount of brown show through, which is awesome. I am really diggin them a fair bit. They're gonna be a great go to pair.

I dont even think about them being thin. They feel like normal jeans....but I have been wearing the okas and peach id alot before these so there might only be two oz difference.
Im really glad i did the 38, they fit very good after Washing.
Btw i had to wash them bc i got new covers for the sofa and these were bleeding like hell and that means i gotta get a blanket every time i sit and thats too much work, i just wanna start wearing them and dont think just be.

Thank you for validating the "fuzzy" on these. Been enjoying these and the fuzz was a pleasant surprise. I will say that I really like the color, it feels to me like these will get a really unique blue as they fade, based on how saturated in blue they look fresh "out of the bag" (with a soak).

Stiff as heck at first but loosening up and breaking in relatively easy. The rise is pretty low on the slims.
The brown weft looks great.
And I'm probably not going to be consistent posting pics or something. Maybe once some fades set it. I actually love them inky dark but plan to wear em hard. Going camping and fishing for two nights next weekend. That'll be a good start. Fish guts=wash though.
