Oh, so we can say negative things about the board's darling, Ciano Farmer, without public floggings now? Even though the fit was all jacked up and the service was bad times for me, I will say that his jeans are the best made I have. Look well made and durable while folded up in my closet. Good luck, everyones, he do make good things. i also have well made pairs collecting dust in my closet. that's mostly on me for placing a 2nd order for 2 pairs knowing the fit of the 1st pair wasn't ideal. but...in my defense that 1st pair went back and forth for rework i think 3 times and i have no doubt that ciano would have kept working on them until perfect, but i was just done dealing with it by that point. so...because of his personality and the 'construction quality' i did order two more pairs...unfortunately they're too tight right at the hip bone as well and none of them have budged or loosened with wear at all. i will also say that neither order went smoothly. in each case the wait was longer than communicated, i had to request status at regular intervals, and was always met with a variety of reasons (out of fabric, out of buttons, had to remake because we made them the wrong style...etc). it's one of those situations where i want him to succeed...but the fit just doesn't work for me and i've gone beyond wanting to deal with the wait and back and forth nature that comes with the products. in the end...i'd say if you're unhappy the best course of action is always to reach out to him. it'll likely be a slow, arduous process...but if you have the patience for it he'll likely do his best to 'make it right'.

After Payment, Cf sent me a pair of the garrisons in green denim as a try on. The fit was almost perfect (depending on shrink stretch ) for me. The product is of fantastic build quality and beautiful to behold So I planned to order a pair in navy twill or blue grey selvedge but this wait time is starting to give me pause ...8 months? Now with Th e scary wait time I could almost convince myself that I would wear green

Good luck, everyones, he do make good things. Ciano will work with you until your satisfied. I've bought several things from him, and they all arrived just as expected, with no jack up. Shame on you if you don't let him make it right. The issue was...the kickstarter had one fit guide and after it closed, they opened the website and used a new fit guide. This was not mentioned on their kickstarter anywhere. They did send an e-mail for fit verification and I only checked the waist size because no reasonable company would launch a kickstarter, collect money based on people wanting that fit guide and then change the fit guide. For the replacement jeans, he offered me two fit guides which were the new slim and regular fit guides. I never had the option to get what I actually paid for. And that is how I ended up with jeans that do not fit me...but are very well made. Really, quite on spec with the fit guide I never wanted. "please let me know what fit you would like. I have attached the two specs for you review." Also, the bar tacks were a different colour than what was shown on the kickstarter (I ordered tonal but they used tan tacks in various places...like the bottom of the zipper, it looks weird...the tonal example they showed us bright eyed backers did not have this...I was told I had to request it special...later), I was the an early bird supposed to get one of the first fifty pairs and then he started producing jeans for web orders before the kickstarter jeans, hidden rivets were missing, inseam was an extra inch too long because they convinced me to add an inch for shrinkage...then when they went to make them, they thought it was what i ordered and added an inch for shrinkage. It was unreal. I will also say that all of the errors were corrected with the replacements, but the fit was not what was advertised on kickstarter. I would not have backed it if this was the fit. They also would not start my replacement jeans until they got the bad pair back from me. Shipping takes time overseas. Oddly enough, I gave them my money through kickstarter before they would start...sometimes they should have the same faith in their customers that their customers had in them. Awwww. So I was offered two fit guides I didn't want and shame on me. Shame shame shame on me. Super shame for expecting what I paid for. I really hope you all do that motion with your fingers where you rub the one index finger with the other when you shame me. media.giphy.com/media/G9j9CAnE39cpq/giphy.gifthat one! From atop your high horse, I assume you think I should have just got a refund. I am not waiting months for something, dealing with a reasonable fellow (although he was disappoint that I told others about these glaring errors before consulting him first...even after consulting him, I still never got an explanation for the new fit guide....which they eventually did away with and went to something more like the kickstarter many months later...PLOT TWIST!) and then just getting money back. Spend all that time and aggravation to just be where I started? No way, duuuuuude! Tonight! on unsolved mysteries...why was the fit guide changed? UPDATE! Nobody cares and you should move on with your life! So I thought this board was a place to talk about the highs and lows of the jeans experience, but I see it is not. Some people were grumbling about the long waits for Ciano jeans that should only take 11-14 weeks according to his website even though he is well aware that is not the case. I thought maybe I could join in the fun...but it is still the same old gang. If you discuss your negative experience, the good people of the world call you trolls. Ok, I was trolling with the last one. Maybe some in this one, too? But I still stand behind the facts! I see this still isn't the place for lowly trash like me. Oh man, That was like a year and a half ago. One of these days, I am going to be able to sleep without nightmares of pocket rivets hiding and I need to find them or else the universe will explode. I never find the rivets, but I always wake up just before the universe explodes with a handful of frogs. (get it? Ribbet ribbet! RIVETS!) I was hoping (hopping!) that they had a frog smiley I could put here, but I can't find one. Pretend one is here. I go back under my bridge now.

HEY EVERYONE...
SO SORRY I HAVE NOT BEEN ON THE BOARD….
we are dealing with a lot of shipping issues with the USPS…and a lot of packages have been lost since back in June when the flooding here in Texas happened…..we can not track what has been delivered and what has not been delivered…the only way so far is when you send us the NASTY email that we figure out the package has not been delivered or lost..we will do our best to make this right and remake the orders in a "RUSH"..
i am so sorry for all this…Mike , Jose and I are tiring to find a better way to ship our jeans ..in the mean time we will have to use USPS for the cost..
so give us a call 281-201-1078…
if you feel your order has not been delivered in the 11-14 week turn …so sorry for all this..again we will always go beyond to make this right for each and everyone….
again we are a small 3 MAN TEAM making jeans and bring to deal with outside issues we can not control.
Cheers Ciano

WELLLLL..Mike and i are beyond words at this point after reading this...and do not understand what we did wrong...please call us if you have an issue..we always make things right if you have an issue with our product...we will do our best to correct this problem you are having...call us 281-202-1078 or email me CIANO@CIANOFARMER.COM I will stick with one of the many errors that I still do not understand and cannot figure out how you do not see an issue with promoting a kickstarter with one fit guide and then providing jeans made with a totally different fit guide after the kickstarter closed. Then still not explaining why it was changed. One day, I dream of hearing why this was changed. Advertised to prospective customers as similar to a levi's 501 /description Kickstarter fit guide and then you send this weird fit guide (use size 34 for the size I ordered) Weird fit guide sent after kickstarter closed the front rise is over 2" larger (10.1" vs 12.3"). All other dimensions are way off. They were cut and sewn to spec better than any other pair I have, but not the spec I ordered. To get a 10.1" rise on the straight fit you would have to off the charts under a size 28 waist! How do you not understand where it went wrong? Am i really insane for being disappoint in not getting what I paid for? No, that was the frog comment. Hidden rivets. I get it. The frog comment pushed the envelope too far. I thought it was fun. (I grew up with the simpsons...well, until the early 2000's when it went downhill this link sums it up) I was then sent the two new fit guides (slim and straight) to select my replacement jeans...which was not what was advertised on the kickstarter. I hoped they would work and I wanted this to be over. I grew weary of saying that the fit guide was wrong and your response of "I don't understand, but we will send you the fit guide you don't want again!" The newer fit guide jeans actually look more like your old kickstarter...which failed and I think it is because the fits were not what people are looking for (and the pocket stitching...those are the reasons I didn't back those). High waist, low pockets, looks oddly like what I received. But not the kickstarter I backed. I hope you understand now that you advertised one thing, I paid money for one thing, and then you arbitrarily decided to send something different. A fit guide that resembled the failed kickstarter more than the kickstarter people actually backed in larger numbers. And then gave me the option of the new fit guide for a replacement. Really, I said you send the wrong fit guide and your fix was "we will send you a new pair in the fit guide you don't want. Thanks for playing!" I feel like I am being trolled. I thought the board was cool with posting negative experiences now, but I was wrong. If a company messes up your order and fixes it by sending you another abomination, it is your fault. Ok, maybe complaining again 1.5 years later is uncouth, but whatever. They shamed me for not letting you make it right by sending more jeans that don't match what I ordered. And if you still don't understand what went wrong, take a look at the fit guide for the kickstarter again and then take a look at the fit guide you sent. Then take a look at the fit guide you offered to replace the same fit guides. Repeat until understanding that the latter two do not match the kickstarter I wanted. I am not sure why more people didn't have issue with this or why the brahs are mad at me. So let's hear the reason why the fit guides were changed after the kickstarter was closed and the money was collected. This should be fun.

Interesting drama... No offense but you sound insane, like especially in your last paragraph. The rivets, man...those rivets. I always wanted a pair of Jeans with hidden rivets. Everyone talks about them like it makes the jeans better and is the best thing since pockets on shirts. I am still not sure what makes them so great, but I wanted to find out. I am aware of how I write on the internets. I am eccentric. I will admit that. This whole Ciano thing also really gets my goat, man. My goat is gotten.

Hey guys, I was thinking. I do that sometimes. Anyways, I was thinking, why do we need a section for updates on delivery times? It doesn't matter when we get them. It could be ten years from now and we will be thankful to have them. I can't wait to be the greatest apostle and proclaim that it was "worth the wait!" and shun those who are not as pious as I! Remember, the important thing is that we pay up front. After a business has your money, there is no need to rush. So just relax...kick back...and dream about one day getting a pair of well made jeans that may or may not be what you ordered. Sometimes, companies decide that you shouldn't get the fit or rivets (RIVETS! inside joke! LOL!) that you ordered and paid for. They don't need to explain anything to trolls (FYI...trolls are people who do not appreciating the "improved" order decided by the company for the customer). I might not know why that happened to me...yet...but one day, the mystery will reveal itself and I will be healed. Send more money. Give until hurts, brothers and...well..brothers. I am still waiting for many Lawless jeans...worth the wait! Actually, I have two pairs of Lawless jeans that were dead-on what I ordered. How about THAT for irony?! (I said I was going back to my home planet, but that was a lie. I am from Pittburgh. I have a beard. Aliens can't grow beards in space! That was a "bearded men from spacestation 11" joke...oh man, MTV's The State was the best sketch comedy show back when I wore a younger man's clothes)
