If anyone is a US 10 and looking for an incredibly unique pair of dress shoes, there is a pair of Trickers long wing cipresso shell shoes on ebay for $329. These things are killer, and I have lusted after them for quite some time (but have not found an available pair in my size). The color is a deep deep greenish black. I want these things bad enough that I'd consider removing part of my toes. www.ebay.com/itm/TRICKERS-Cipresso-Shell-Cordovan-Longwing-Size-UK9-/301356023384

The seller photographed them sitting on the same duvet cover that Wifebert had when I moved in with her, so maybe I could have convinced her that these were not a new purchase, but something I've had for years!

Can anyone explain the heel style on these guys? I always cringe a little because it evokes high heels in my mind, but the boot up top couldn't look any better.

Can anyone explain the heel style on these guys? I always cringe a little because it evokes high heels in my mind, but the boot up top couldn't look any better. The heel in the ebay auction is Curved/Cuban heel. Curved are what you see on most cowboy boots. Block you see on most of the time on harness boots but you also see them with curved same with engineer boots. I have Block on my Semi-Dress. Curved do not look as good of an aesthetic with the semi dress boot shape in my opinion. Curved Heel Block Heel Some info I found about heels on Whites. Do you want a block heel (90 degree angle) or a Cuban heel (curved heel)? This is a hotly contested topic when discussing Pacific Northwest boots, and some people care waaay too much. In my opinion, it really comes down to aesthetics, but some advocates for the Cuban heel argue that it helps keep a natural gait. Many consider it to be a geographical thing, and that west coasters are more likely to embrace the Cuban heel and East coasters are generally more likely to order the block heel. Given I'm planted firmly on the East Coast (literally typing this while staying at a cottage on the beach for a few days), the cuban heel just doesn't fit with my aesthetics, wardrobe, or surroundings. That said, I think the cuban heel is beautiful, and some people pull it off really well...I just like the block heel on my own feet.

Thanks for the heads up! Grabbed a pair in the 11.5. The stock photo doesn't portray the shoe correctly from what I can tell. It's more chocolate in real life, less of a red hue to it which pushed me to grab 'em. Not that I needed another pair of Wings.

If these were Wesco Engineer boots they would be mine. Great price for these though.

Thanks for the heads-up. I went after the 44. The specs were darn near perfect. A tad more in the shoulder would've been optimal. Unfortunately, it went for a little more than my max bid. Better luck next time, I hope.

I was fully prepared to pull the trigger on this. But, when I inquired about the actual measurements, he posted them, and I had to back off. Iron Heart IH-526Jod

There has been some interest here, for The Flat Head 3009. These are in my size, but I'm more interested in the 3002. There is a little more than 4 hours left. No bids. Starting at $150. I think they are going for $230 on denimio (pre-sale) The Flat Head 3009 size 36

I can only imagine what he measures the knee and thigh at. SelfEdge lists the cuff at 9. In my experience, SE specs usually run on the high side, which makes his measurement even more odd.
