How's the fabric compare to the regular loomies?

How's the fabric compare to the regular loomies? The two are quite different. The Zoomies are heavier, crispier, and have a more substantial feel. They have roughly the same hairiness, and no where near the slub of the Loomies. The Zoomies are a shade, or two darker. For comparison, I have the 3sixteen Kibata, and they are very similar in character to the Zoomies. The Kibata are a lighter shade of indigo, as well.

Where would you put them today sizewise? Say compared to a g35.

Do you think a hot soak will get more shrink?

Where would you put them today sizewise? Say compared to a g35. I wear 35 straights in Gustin. The waist is roughly the same. But, the rest of the cut is quite different. These have more room in the hip, and thigh. More taper, and smaller cuff. I have had 36 slims in Gustin, as well. But, that cut was always a bit wonky on me. The 2 pairs I've owned I resold almost as quickly as I acquired them. From what I recall, these certainly have more rise, and a far less aggressive taper. Edit: They do have the typical Gustin Loomstate fit, somewhere between slim and straight. I actually like the fit. But, I'm on denim overload.

Do you think a hot soak will get more shrink? The initial soak I gave them was for nearly 2 hours, at roughly 95F/35C. Very warm. I imagine, if you soaked them hot (120F/50C), you may get some more. But, I don't think it would be great amount.

But more room in hip then normal straight 35....that sounds bad. What is the thigh measured g-way? I need a pair (lol) but im afraid these have the horse-pants bug that some unexplainably have and some dont.

I need a pair (lol) but im afraid these have the horse-pants bug that some unexplainably have and some dont. These are a tagged 38 straight, that started out at 37 specs, and if you reference the provided measurements above, they wound up somewhere between 35-36. They were not a not a "normal straight 35", to begin with. I have the American 16er, and J21 in 35 straight. They are both a bit tighter in the hip, than these. The first run 16ers were known to have sewn small, and the J21 are heavier weight. So, my personal assessment of 35 straight may differ from yours. The thigh, measured 2" down, is a hair less than 12.5", which is in line with G's specs for straights in size 35-36. There is more taper than a normal straight, but quite a bit less than the slim. They are certainly not breeches.

Yeah I just have the normal Loomies in 38 and they came out smaller then a non-loomie 35 so I thought if these came out about the same they should be a slimmer 35 but yeah.
They dont seem to work for me unfortunately, I do want them alot but trying to shrink them might make the rise too low as it is kinda perfect now but for me they are too big in the thighs and knees.
Good luck with the sale, they do seem to be a really cool pair, substantial and with potential to get a really nice patina-look fade if you stick with them.

It's funny how everyone's experiences with G's loomstates are so different. I had a pair of Loomies, in 38 straight, as well. They actually soaked up more relaxed for me, than these Zoomies. As I said, I do like the fit of these. If they had a larger cuff opening(17.5"+), I'd be wearing them for work, already. I made an exception for the American Antiques, and it annoyed the sh!t out of me. If these don't sell, I'll wear them, eventually. But, with 2 pairs of IH, 2 pairs of PBJ, 22oz ONI, and Kibata in seasonal rotation, it'll be a long time to come. Hell, I've also got a pair of 666sii, waiting to be hemmed and worn before them, too.
